Style Korean Haul 2: Lovely in Spring Beauty Box “Unboxing”

Hello everyone!

Today I’m going to share with you my second haul from Style Korean. I saw that they were doing some pre-made beauty boxes (similar to what Memebox does) and it had a few items I’ve been dying to try, so I decided to make another order!

I got the “Lovely in Spring” Box and a few other things. Now to the “unboxing!” It didn’t come in a separate box from the rest of my purchases, but everything was packaged together very well.

So the box came with 6 different items:

First is one of the items I had already wanted to purchase, and it’s the Labiotte’s Chateau Labiotte Wine Eyeshadow Palette in #02 Sweet Wine.

So far I really love it! It’s got really beautiful shades and the packaging is nice and lightweight.

Next is the COSRX Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask. I’m really excited to try this because I really love sheet masks with honey, so I’m hoping I’ll like this too!

The next product is another one I’ve been wanting to try. It’s Heimish’s All Clean Balm, which is a solid balm cleanser.

I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m really excited to!

The last skincare item is a set of 10 Mediheal N.W.F. Aquaring Ampoule Masks. I love sheet masks, so I was really excited that this was included in the box! Can’t wait to try these too!

The next item is a lip product from the brand Chica Y Chico. It’s their Mat Fix Matte Lip in 001 Mata Hari, a really pretty red shade. I haven’t tried it yet, but the curved applicator makes it look like it’ll be easy to apply!

And the last item from the box was something I was very interested in trying! It’s the Aprilskin Black Magic Snow Cushion 2.0 in the shade #21 Light Beige.

After trying the pikachu one from Tony Moly, I really wanted to try other cushion foundations! So I am anxious to try this one out too!

Items I bought outside of the box:

I got two other items during this order, the first being some replacement rubycell air puffs because my dog had gotten ahold of my other ones somehow and chewed them to bits, haha. I decided to go with these Heimish ones since they came in a pack of 5, which is more convenient for me.

They last item I purchased was Etude House’s Play 101 Blending Pencil in #7, which is a pretty dusty pink color. This was a bit of an impulse buy, but I don’t regret it! It’s such a pretty color!

And the last item that was in my order (shown in the full photo at the top of the post) was a free sample of Benton’s Snail Bee High Content Skin (Toner), which I have yet to try.

So that’s it for my haul guys! Have yo ordered from Style Korean before? Let me know in the comments!

Jolse Cosmetics Haul

Hey everyone!

Today I’m going to share what I bought from Jolse Cosmetics. I heard about this website through YouTube quite a while ago, but I hadn’t bought anything until recently.

I’m pretty happy with my experience ordering from them as there weren’t any issues or anything. I’ll probably use them in the future for other orders too!

February 2016 Favorites

Hey everyone!

I have a few favorites to share with you this month, but I almost didn’t share any because it’s mostly stuff I’ve mentioned many, many times before.

But, there are a few things that I truly have been loving, so I figured I should still share them!

February 2016 favs

Beauty Favorites:

My first favorite is a shadow from my much-loved Smashbox Beauty Exposed Palette, in particular the shade Marble (very center shade).

Feb 2016 favs 2Feb Favs 3

I love this palette a lot, but this past month in particular I’ve been wearing Marble almost every day! I like to wear it all over the lid with an inner corner highlight and a darker brown on the outer corner of my lash line. I’ve mentioned it many times before, but I really love this shadow and the rest of the palette too. One of my favorite purchases!

My next favorite is the brushes I use everyday! They are my Ecotools brushes.

Feb Favs 4Feb 2016 Favs 5

I have two sets, one that has two double ended brushes and one that has some that are travel sized. I use the ones shown here the most. In particular, I like using the fluffy double ended one with my Smashbox eyeshadow!

These brushes are super soft and stand up to washing very well, so I definitely recommend them! Plus, they’re super affordable too, which is always a plus!

Non-Beauty Favorites:

My non-beauty favorite for this month is the K-Pop group Ladies Code!

They’ve been a huge favorite of mine since they debuted, and when they finally had a comeback this past month after being gone so long I was super excited!

Ladies Code- Galaxy

I love the concept for the whole Mystery album as well. It’s both mature and very unique. Very reminiscent of the kind of style/concept for “Hate You,” but much more mature and grown up. I missed Ladies Code so much, so I am glad that they decided to remain in the K-pop industry. I am really proud of how strong they have been.

So that’s it for my favorites this month! What have you guys been loving? Let me know in the comments!

January 2016 Favorites

Hello everyone!

Can you believe that the first month of the new year is already over?? It went by so fast!

I have a few things that I really enjoyed using over the past month that weren’t the same-old-same-old stuff I always talk about in my favorites, so that’s what I’m going to share with you today!

Beauty Favorites:

January 2016 Favs

First up is the Soyoung concealer that I got in my edition of the K-Drama Memebox.

Soyoung Concealer 2Soyoung Concealer 3

I have the shade #01 Lovely Beige and I have to say, this is the perfect color for my skin right now! It can be hard to find base makeup that isn’t too dark for me (because I’m super pale, lol) and doesn’t also have a funky undertone, but this is just perfect! It also has pretty good pigmentation and is about medium coverage.

I’m not sure if I’m going to try other concealers when I run out of this, because I really really enjoy this formula. But we’ll see when that happens, hahaha.

My next favorite is also from the K-Drama Makeup Memebox, and it’s the Memepuffs (set of five).

Meme Puffs

I finally got to try these kinds of airpuffs, and let me tell you, I’m so glad I had the opportunity to try them! These make blending in both foundation and concealer so easy! I don’t want to use anything else any more, haha.

The only thing I don’t like is how hard they are to clean, but that’s something I’m willing to live with, hahaha.

My third favorite is actually two I use together! It’s the Sephora Rouge Infusion Lip Tint in The Neutrals: #19 Peony and the Holika Holika Heartfull Glossy Lipstick in PK122 Humming Pink.

Sephora lip tint/ Holika Holika lipstick 1Sephora Lip Tint/ Holika Holika lipstick 2

I use these two products to do a slight gradient lip effect that I’ve been really loving lately! This month I wore this combo at least 3-4 times a week cause I love it so much! In fact, I’m probably going to wear it a lot this month too, haha.

Sephora Lip Tint/ Holika Holika lipstick 3

How it looks on me! Told you I was pale, lol.

Non-Beauty Favorites:

So I’ve been really into Japanese fashion magazines for a long time (my favorites are Non-no and Ray!), and I figured out that I can actually buy them off of Amazon Japan!

Amazon Japan Box 1Amazon Japan box 2

Because of this, I’ve been doing a lot of shopping, haha. I only have bought and received magazines from amazon directly (I have one order from a third party seller that ships internationally and it will come within the next week or so), so I haven’t used any forwarding services yet.

But I digress! I am so happy with the orders I bought that were fulfilled by Amazon! They come so fast and are packaged very well, so I know I will order from them in the future!

My last favorite for this month is the cell phone game Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector!

Neko Atsume 1Neko Atsume 2Neko Atsume 3Neko Atsume 4

Omg guys, this game is just amazing. You leave out food and “goodies” and different cats will come and visit! You can take pictures of them and when they leave, they give you fish so that you can buy more goodies! My sister told me about this game, and now I’m absolutely addicted, lol. It’s available for both iPhone and Android, so now everyone can get addicted like me! Hahaha!

So that’s it for my favorites this month! What are some things you have been loving? Let me know in the comments!

Memebox K-drama Makeup Box Vol. 3 Unboxing

Hello everyone!

This post has been a long time coming, but I’m finally going to show you what was in the K-drama box from October! I had purchased it for my mom to give it to me as a Christmas gift a long time ago, but now I am finally able to show you guys!

They do update this box from time to time, so if you purchase this now, the contents won’t be exactly the same. It will be a good deal though!

Onto what was inside!

September 2015 Favorites

Hey everyone!

Today I’m going to tell you what my favorites have been for the past month! Time really has been flying by, haha. I feel like it was just August and now it’s October?!?! What happened?

September 2015 Favorites

Anyways, on to the favorites!

Beauty Favorites:

My first favorite this month are these brushes from Cala!

Cala Brushes 2

I have a whole review I did on them, so I’m not going to go into much detail here, but let’s just say I was extremely impressed with the quality of these brushes for the price! I’ve been using them almost every day since I got them, so when I can I’m going to stock up on some more!

My next beauty favorites are these two lipsticks.

Pony and Clinique lipsticks

One is the Pony X Memebox Blossom Lipstick in #2 Spring Romance, which I did a review of here. The other is the Clinique Almost Lipstick in the shade Black Honey. I’ve been really liking the dark, red toned lips lately (even though it still feels like summer where I live), and these two are just perfect for fall! I can’t stop wearing them!

The next favorite I have for you today is the NYX Wonder Pencil in the shade WP01 Light.

NYX Wonder Pencil

Now, NYX markets this as something that you can use all over the face in various ways, but I only bought it to use it on my waterline. I was always curious if using a nude/flesh toned pencil on the lower waterline would make a difference in how my eyes looked when I was having really bad allergy days, and I’m happy to say that it does! I was really impressed with the performance as well, since it lasted almost the whole day on my waterline. Now I feel like I look less scary when my allergies get really bad, haha.

My last beauty favorite is actually an eyeshadow from a gift with purchase palette from Clinique.

Clinique Lucky Penny

It’s the shade Lucky Penny (top left), and I feel like it’s perfect for fall! I’ve also been wearing similar shades to this the whole month as well, so I’ve been really loving the warm shimmery shades lately! And I hadn’t used this palette in a while, so I forgot just how much I loved it! The quality of Clinique’s eyeshadows are great, so if this is available as a single shadow, I’d highly recommend swatching it to see for yourself!

Non-Beauty Favorites:

My non-beauty favorite for this month is Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer!

AC: HHD

It released the 25th, and I have been playing it constantly! I literally have to force myself to stop playing so that I can eat, haha. I’ve been a fan of the Animal Crossing series since the first one released here in the states, so I was really excited to try a new type of game! This one focuses on the design and landscaping aspect, so if that was your favorite part of the main series games, I highly recommend this!

That’s it for my favorites this month! What have you been loving? Let me know in the comments!

Cala Brushes Review

Hey guys!

Today I’m going to review a few brushes I picked up at the swapmeet! Initially, I wasn’t going to review them, but I decided to after realizing just how much I like them!

Cala Brushes

As you can tell already this is a favorable review, but I wasn’t expecting to like these so much when I first picked them up. I bought three brushes, and all of them were under $3 each, so I didn’t expect too much.

These brushes are by the brand Cala, and they are all from their Eco- Friendly Bamboo line. They are very reminiscent of the EcoTools brushes in appearance, all the way up to their packaging! (I threw it away before I decided to review…oops.)

All of these brushes are extremely soft and gentle on my eye area, which is way better quality than I was expecting for the price!

Cala 404 brush

The first brush I bought was the 404 Brow/Liner brush, which I have been using on my brows and really loving! The bristles are stiff enough to deposit color precisely.

Cala 405 brush

The next brush I bought was the 405 Shading brush. This brush has been great for packing color onto the lid, especially for some of my more shimmery eyeshadows that tend to have a lot of fallout. It picks up pigment very well!

Cala 415 brush

The last brush I bought is the 415 Crease brush. This one is my favorite of the bunch! It blends color into the crease for a really soft appearance, and for my eye shape/lid space it works great! I will say if you have smaller lids or like a stiffer blending brush this one might not be for you. But it’s so cheap it’s worth a try!

The Verdict:

I love these brushes! I truly cannot rave about them enough! I know for sure I am going to try more the next time I go the swapmeet, haha. If you see them, I highly recommend giving them a shot since they are amazing quality for the price.

Have any of you tried this brand before? Let me know what you think in the comments!

February 2015 Favorites

Hello everyone! Today I’m going to talk to you about my favorite for this past month.

I cannot believe how fast February flew by! School has been super busy for me, so I haven’t gotten around to doing the reviews I have lined up. I’ll try and get some done this weekend though, I promise!

Anyways, on to the favorites!

Beauty Favorites:

First up is the VELLA Fresh Creamy Soap, which came in the Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize! Memebox.

IMG_1097IMG_1098IMG_1100

This face wash is so gentle! I have quite sensitive skin and this hasn’t caused me to break out of get any red spots on my face, which is great! It also feels great on the skin and isn’t too drying, so I’ve really been loving it lately! I only use this at night, since I shower in the morning and this style of packaging isn’t really that great for the shower. I’ll have a full review of this product soon!

Next is the e.l.f. Angled Eyeliner Brush. This is part of their studio collection.

IMG_1199IMG_1200

I’ve seen this style of brush around a lot but I didn’t understand how it would make lining my eyes easier. It looked like it would just make things more difficult, haha. However, once I tried this, I realized why people us this style of brush so much! It makes using gel liner a breeze! Even cat eyes are easier using this brush. And the brush itself is pretty great quality for the price. I really recommend it!

Another item I’ve been loving is the Pony X Memebox Shine Easy Glam 2 Palette that I got in my Pony Memebox.

IMG_1115

I just love the colors in this! They’re so sparkly and pretty and are easy to wear! And the brush included is actually useable, which is a plus! The pink and the purple are really making me excited for spring too! I’ve been using the palette quite a bit this month, and I have a review and an eye makeup tutorial for this coming soon!

My last beauty favorite is the Shara Shara Lemon Honey All-In-One Cream, from the same Memebox as the cleanser.

IMG_1088IMG_1089

This smells so good! Light and fresh, haha. It also absorbs really easily into the skin, so I use it almost every day! That’s rare feat for me, since I can get really lazy about putting on body lotion. I really wanna try some of the other scents this comes in, but I’m going to wait until I run out of this first. I will have a full review of this coming soon!

Fashion Favorites:

What I’ve really been loving (besides my favorites from last month– still wearing those a ton!), is this sweatshirt from Forever 21.

IMG_1197

(Like my whale blanket?? So cute!)

This sweatshirt is so cute!! I love gray and I love floral print, so this fit right in with all my other clothes, haha. It’s a really nice lightweight material which is great for where I live (we don’t get snow or anything like that during the winter), and it feels really well constructed for how cheap it was ($22.90). If you’re interested, you can still buy it from their website here.

One thing I do want to say though is that the sleeves are a little on the tight side. If you don’t like how that feels, I would suggest going a size up. Otherwise, it’s great! I’ve worn it quite a lot this month!

Non-beauty Extra:

Non-no Magazine! (pictures from my copy of the April 2015 issue)

IMG_1201IMG_1202

Non-no is a young women’s fashion magazine published by Shueisha in Japan. I have been reading this magazine since I started college (a long time ago), and I really love it! The always have such fashionable outfits! The style is also really girly, which I enjoy because I don’t see that as much where I live.

IMG_1203IMG_1204

I also love the hair and makeup tips/ideas too! It’s just really fun for me to read and gives me a chance to practice my Japanese.

IMG_1205

If you have a Japanese bookstore where you can pick one up, I highly recommend it! They’re a lot of fun!

That’s it for my favorites this month! What are some of your favorites? Let me know in the comments!

Review: Sephora Precision Makes Perfect Mini Airbrush Set

So I picked up this sponge duo from Sephora on Black Friday (see my haul here) and today I’m going to review it!
image-2
First of all, I love the size and color of these! They’re so small and cute!
Second, they are really easy to use. All you have to do is wet them and wring them out, then dip it into some foundation in your palm. After that, dab foundation all over the face and blend it out!
These sponges are extremely soft and feel really gentle as you blend out your makeup, which is a big plus for me! My foundation also looked extremely smooth, which is great cause I usually get dry patches that show up on my forehead. It does make your foundation blend out a little sheerer, but it’s also quite easy to build it up in layers using this sponge. I also tried these using only concealer on my dark circles, and it blended my concealer into my bare skin perfectly.
One downside however, is that these sponges are a little difficult to clean thoroughly. I am able to get the make up out, but it takes a bit more effort than makeup brushes I have used in the past. And of course, using fingers is even easier to clean up, haha!
The verdict: I really like these! Even if they take a bit more effort to clean, they make applying foundation and blending it out extremely easy. the effect is very natural and smooth, which is how I like it!
Has anyone else tried these? Let me know what you think in the comments!
