Style Korean Haul 2: Lovely in Spring Beauty Box “Unboxing”

Hello everyone!

Today I’m going to share with you my second haul from Style Korean. I saw that they were doing some pre-made beauty boxes (similar to what Memebox does) and it had a few items I’ve been dying to try, so I decided to make another order!

I got the “Lovely in Spring” Box and a few other things. Now to the “unboxing!” It didn’t come in a separate box from the rest of my purchases, but everything was packaged together very well.

So the box came with 6 different items:

First is one of the items I had already wanted to purchase, and it’s the Labiotte’s Chateau Labiotte Wine Eyeshadow Palette in #02 Sweet Wine.

So far I really love it! It’s got really beautiful shades and the packaging is nice and lightweight.

Next is the COSRX Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask. I’m really excited to try this because I really love sheet masks with honey, so I’m hoping I’ll like this too!

The next product is another one I’ve been wanting to try. It’s Heimish’s All Clean Balm, which is a solid balm cleanser.

I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m really excited to!

The last skincare item is a set of 10 Mediheal N.W.F. Aquaring Ampoule Masks. I love sheet masks, so I was really excited that this was included in the box! Can’t wait to try these too!

The next item is a lip product from the brand Chica Y Chico. It’s their Mat Fix Matte Lip in 001 Mata Hari, a really pretty red shade. I haven’t tried it yet, but the curved applicator makes it look like it’ll be easy to apply!

And the last item from the box was something I was very interested in trying! It’s the Aprilskin Black Magic Snow Cushion 2.0 in the shade #21 Light Beige.

After trying the pikachu one from Tony Moly, I really wanted to try other cushion foundations! So I am anxious to try this one out too!

Items I bought outside of the box:

I got two other items during this order, the first being some replacement rubycell air puffs because my dog had gotten ahold of my other ones somehow and chewed them to bits, haha. I decided to go with these Heimish ones since they came in a pack of 5, which is more convenient for me.

They last item I purchased was Etude House’s Play 101 Blending Pencil in #7, which is a pretty dusty pink color. This was a bit of an impulse buy, but I don’t regret it! It’s such a pretty color!

And the last item that was in my order (shown in the full photo at the top of the post) was a free sample of Benton’s Snail Bee High Content Skin (Toner), which I have yet to try.

So that’s it for my haul guys! Have yo ordered from Style Korean before? Let me know in the comments!

Things I’ve Bought Lately Part 2

Hello everyone!

This is part two of my blog posts showing what I’ve been buying lately. This post will focus on all the smaller things I’ve bought over time, rather than all at once like in Part 1.

I had a coupon for Wet & Wild products ones day, so I finally decided to try one of their famous Color Icon Palettes.

WWCI 1WWCI 2

This is in the shade selection “Walking on Eggshells,” and I have to say, the formula of these shadows is really good! Especially because they’re super affordable even without coupons.

The next things I bought were some new sunscreens to try!

Parasola and Shiseido UV

I bought the Naris Up Parasola Essence in UV Cut Gel and the Shiseido Q10 BG Mineral Water UV Essence. I’ve already talked about one of them in my June favorites, and I’ve since tried the other as well. I like both quite a lot!

The last few things I bought were two items from NYX!

NYX 1

I had lost my eyeshadow primer at my boyfriend’s house somehow, and I really needed one because my eyelids get super oily and eyeshadow creases very easily. Since I didn’t want to pay for a new tube of the Urban Decay primer that I lost just yet (I’m hoping he’ll find it soon, it was practically brand new!), I decided to try the NXY Proof It! Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer. It’s actually quite good!

NYX 2

I also picked up a Soft Matte Lip Cream in the Shade Prague, which I’ve had my eye on since these lip creams were released! This shade is so beautiful and perfect for fall!

NYX 3

So that’s all the stuff I’ve picked up lately! I bought quite a bit, lol. What have you been buying lately? Let me know in the comments!

January 2016 Favorites

Hello everyone!

Can you believe that the first month of the new year is already over?? It went by so fast!

I have a few things that I really enjoyed using over the past month that weren’t the same-old-same-old stuff I always talk about in my favorites, so that’s what I’m going to share with you today!

Beauty Favorites:

January 2016 Favs

First up is the Soyoung concealer that I got in my edition of the K-Drama Memebox.

Soyoung Concealer 2Soyoung Concealer 3

I have the shade #01 Lovely Beige and I have to say, this is the perfect color for my skin right now! It can be hard to find base makeup that isn’t too dark for me (because I’m super pale, lol) and doesn’t also have a funky undertone, but this is just perfect! It also has pretty good pigmentation and is about medium coverage.

I’m not sure if I’m going to try other concealers when I run out of this, because I really really enjoy this formula. But we’ll see when that happens, hahaha.

My next favorite is also from the K-Drama Makeup Memebox, and it’s the Memepuffs (set of five).

Meme Puffs

I finally got to try these kinds of airpuffs, and let me tell you, I’m so glad I had the opportunity to try them! These make blending in both foundation and concealer so easy! I don’t want to use anything else any more, haha.

The only thing I don’t like is how hard they are to clean, but that’s something I’m willing to live with, hahaha.

My third favorite is actually two I use together! It’s the Sephora Rouge Infusion Lip Tint in The Neutrals: #19 Peony and the Holika Holika Heartfull Glossy Lipstick in PK122 Humming Pink.

Sephora lip tint/ Holika Holika lipstick 1Sephora Lip Tint/ Holika Holika lipstick 2

I use these two products to do a slight gradient lip effect that I’ve been really loving lately! This month I wore this combo at least 3-4 times a week cause I love it so much! In fact, I’m probably going to wear it a lot this month too, haha.

Sephora Lip Tint/ Holika Holika lipstick 3

How it looks on me! Told you I was pale, lol.

Non-Beauty Favorites:

So I’ve been really into Japanese fashion magazines for a long time (my favorites are Non-no and Ray!), and I figured out that I can actually buy them off of Amazon Japan!

Amazon Japan Box 1Amazon Japan box 2

Because of this, I’ve been doing a lot of shopping, haha. I only have bought and received magazines from amazon directly (I have one order from a third party seller that ships internationally and it will come within the next week or so), so I haven’t used any forwarding services yet.

But I digress! I am so happy with the orders I bought that were fulfilled by Amazon! They come so fast and are packaged very well, so I know I will order from them in the future!

My last favorite for this month is the cell phone game Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector!

Neko Atsume 1Neko Atsume 2Neko Atsume 3Neko Atsume 4

Omg guys, this game is just amazing. You leave out food and “goodies” and different cats will come and visit! You can take pictures of them and when they leave, they give you fish so that you can buy more goodies! My sister told me about this game, and now I’m absolutely addicted, lol. It’s available for both iPhone and Android, so now everyone can get addicted like me! Hahaha!

So that’s it for my favorites this month! What are some things you have been loving? Let me know in the comments!

Memebox K-drama Makeup Box Vol. 3 Unboxing

Hello everyone!

This post has been a long time coming, but I’m finally going to show you what was in the K-drama box from October! I had purchased it for my mom to give it to me as a Christmas gift a long time ago, but now I am finally able to show you guys!

They do update this box from time to time, so if you purchase this now, the contents won’t be exactly the same. It will be a good deal though!

Speaking of blogging more often, today I’m going to share with you some of my favorite products for the whole year of 2015. I really tried to limit how much I picked, cause otherwise I would be here all day! A lot of these will be familiar to you guys already, but I feel like it’s worth bringing up why I like them so much, haha.

September 2015 Favorites

Hey everyone!

Today I’m going to tell you what my favorites have been for the past month! Time really has been flying by, haha. I feel like it was just August and now it’s October?!?! What happened?

September 2015 Favorites

Anyways, on to the favorites!

Beauty Favorites:

My first favorite this month are these brushes from Cala!

Cala Brushes 2

I have a whole review I did on them, so I’m not going to go into much detail here, but let’s just say I was extremely impressed with the quality of these brushes for the price! I’ve been using them almost every day since I got them, so when I can I’m going to stock up on some more!

My next beauty favorites are these two lipsticks.

Pony and Clinique lipsticks

One is the Pony X Memebox Blossom Lipstick in #2 Spring Romance, which I did a review of here. The other is the Clinique Almost Lipstick in the shade Black Honey. I’ve been really liking the dark, red toned lips lately (even though it still feels like summer where I live), and these two are just perfect for fall! I can’t stop wearing them!

The next favorite I have for you today is the NYX Wonder Pencil in the shade WP01 Light.

NYX Wonder Pencil

Now, NYX markets this as something that you can use all over the face in various ways, but I only bought it to use it on my waterline. I was always curious if using a nude/flesh toned pencil on the lower waterline would make a difference in how my eyes looked when I was having really bad allergy days, and I’m happy to say that it does! I was really impressed with the performance as well, since it lasted almost the whole day on my waterline. Now I feel like I look less scary when my allergies get really bad, haha.

My last beauty favorite is actually an eyeshadow from a gift with purchase palette from Clinique.

Clinique Lucky Penny

It’s the shade Lucky Penny (top left), and I feel like it’s perfect for fall! I’ve also been wearing similar shades to this the whole month as well, so I’ve been really loving the warm shimmery shades lately! And I hadn’t used this palette in a while, so I forgot just how much I loved it! The quality of Clinique’s eyeshadows are great, so if this is available as a single shadow, I’d highly recommend swatching it to see for yourself!

Non-Beauty Favorites:

My non-beauty favorite for this month is Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer!

AC: HHD

It released the 25th, and I have been playing it constantly! I literally have to force myself to stop playing so that I can eat, haha. I’ve been a fan of the Animal Crossing series since the first one released here in the states, so I was really excited to try a new type of game! This one focuses on the design and landscaping aspect, so if that was your favorite part of the main series games, I highly recommend this!

That’s it for my favorites this month! What have you been loving? Let me know in the comments!

Pony X Memebox Pony Blossom Lipstick Review & Swatches

Hello!

Today I’m going to review the Pony X Memebox Pony Blossom Lipstick in #2 Spring Romance! It can be bought on Memebox’s website for $12.

IMG_1321IMG_1328

This is a semi-matte lipstick in a deep burgundy shade. The packaging is just as beautiful as the Shine Easy Glam 3 Palette packaging, with a floral print box! The actual lipstick bullet is in a beautiful package as well; it’s white with both Pony and the shade number on the outside in a holographic finish.

IMG_1334

This lipstick glides on easily and has a lightweight feel. It’s not completely opaque on first swipe, but it looks beautiful both sheered out and fully opaque! It lasts around 5 hours on me without eating and drinking, but it does get a little dry around hour 3, so prepping with lip balm is essential!

Other than that this lipstick is awesome! It’s such a beautiful color and has this really nice fruity scent to it!

The Verdict:

I love this lipstick! I particularly like semi-matte and matte finish lipsticks, and this one has a great texture that’s easy to apply! If you are looking to add a deep burgundy shade to your lipstick collection I really recommend this!

Have you tried anything from this collection? Let me know in the comments!

Another Small Shopping Haul!

Hello everyone!

Today I’m going to share some of the makeup that I bought recently. (I seem to keep buying more and more, don’t I? Haha)

First up, the Dior Color Reviver Balm (Lip Glow) in the shade 01.

IMG_1312IMG_1313IMG_1314

This is the original pink color that they came out with, which I have been eyeing for a while. I love how it changes color! So cool! And it smells amazing too, haha. I love it so much that it’s made an appearance in my April 2015 Favorites!

Next is the Pony X Memebox Shine Easy Glam 3 Eyeshadow Quad in the shade #01 Brown Bloom.

IMG_1320IMG_1329IMG_1330

I thought this would be so pretty for everyday makeup. So far I’m really enjoying it as well! I’ll have a review up soon once I’ve tested it a bit more. And isn’t the packaging just gorgeous?!

I also picked up the Pony X Memebox Blossom Lipstick in the shade #02 Spring Romance.

IMG_1321IMG_1328

When these were announced I was so excited! The packaging is great for these too! I loved the promo images for this color and I had nothing else like it in my makeup collection, so I decided to get this shade. So pretty!

The last thing I bought was the Pony X Memebox Pony Nails Pastels set.

IMG_1322

It comes with all 5 pastel shades of nail polish which are perfect for summer! I’ll wear them all year though because I love pastels, haha.

The shades are:

IMG_1326

#05 Mellow Daisy

IMG_1323

#06 Vintage Rose

IMG_1325

#07 Love Mint

IMG_1327

#08 Blooming Bouquet

IMG_1324

#09 Sweetly Floral

Unfortunately the blue one (Blooming Bouquet) got a crack in the side during shipping, but it’s still useable. The back just doesn’t look as pretty as the others, haha.

That’s it for my haul! Have any of you tried these? What would you like to try yourself? Let me know in the comments!

The Lip Product Addict Tag

Hello!

I first saw this tag on Essiebutton’s YouTube channel, and then I saw it in blog format on Beautyholics Anonymous, which made me want to try it in blog format too!

IMG_1293

Of all of the makeup I buy, most of it is either eyeshadow or lip products, so I thought this tag would be perfect! On to the questions!

Favorite Balm/Lip Treatment

IMG_1294

Definitely the Original Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. I’ve been using this for years and even when I try others, I make sure to have this one with me at all times. Some people might not enjoy the minty scent, but I really love it! And I like the thickness of it too. It doesn’t wear off as easily, so I don’t have to apply it constantly.

Best Eye-Catching Red

IMG_1295

I don’t actually own many reds, but I really love this one! It’s the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in the shade number 111, Kiss of Life. I feel like this is flattering on my skin tone, which is lucky because I hadn’t tried reds before this, haha. It smells really good too, like watermelon candy!

Best Luxury and Best Drugstore Lip Product

Best Drugstore:

I couldn’t decide between them, so I split them by region!

IMG_1298

Korean: The Etude House lip tints! These are amazing and so affordable! I want to buy all of the shades! They do get a little drying (but I feel all lip tints do), but I reach for them constantly!

IMG_1306IMG_1307

American: The Revlon Lip Butters! I know not everyone loves these, but I am someone who does! They feel so creamy and moisturizing on the lips and they have a great selection of shades. My favorite is the hot pink one called sorbet!

Best Luxury:

IMG_1296IMG_1297

I’ll be honest and say that I don’t own too many luxury lip products. I tend to buy ones from the drugstore more often since it’s not too expensive if I want more than one color, haha. However, I love this Dior Fluidstick! I have the shade 575 Wonderland, and it’s this amazing red-pink color! It’s extremely pigmented, smells good, has shine, and lasts for around 4 to 5 hours without eating. I will say they are pretty expensive, so I don’t know if I’ll buy another shade. This one just really grabbed my attention!

Best Mac Lipstick

IMG_1299

This one is really easy for me, seeing as I only have one Mac lipstick in my collection. It’s a limited edition shade that’s currently being re-promoted (I think) called No Faux Pas. It’s such a beautiful matte fuchsia that I feel will look flattering on almost all skintones. I swatched it one and fell in love, haha.

The Most Disappointing Lip Product

IMG_1300

I have three products I really couldn’t choose between, however due to the hype around it, I would say Benefit’s Benetint has been the most for me.

This color is so beautiful, but It just doesn’t last on my lips! It goes away within an hour, which is the opposite of what a lip tint should do. I have a Tony Moly lip tint that’s about the same color and it lasts way longer for being only about $3. So glad I didn’t buy the full size, as this came in a set with some other products.

IMG_1301

I’m also disappointed in the ddung lipstick from the F/W Natural Makeup Memebox. It’s been kind of hard to work with and I dropped it the other day and it got really beat up and broke. Not the best lipstick in my opinion. I think I liked it more before.

IMG_1302

The Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid in Shocking Coral was also a bit of a disappointment for me. I love the color and it looks great on, but I can’t stand the taste and smell! It smalls just like playdoh and tastes salty! Not very happy.

Lipliner- Yes or No?

Not much to say about this one, since I don’t own any lipliners. I’m willing to try one though!

The Best Lip Gloss

IMG_1303IMG_1304IMG_1305

I would have to say my favorite lip gloss is the Maybelline Color Elixirs! These have a really nice plush feel to them and they last around 4 hours, which is great for a lip gloss! However, they are on the thicker side, so if you don’t enjoy that you probably won’t like these. But the pigmentation is really great for a lipgloss! And they’re super shiny too! So when I’m in the mood to wear a lip gloss, I typically go for one of these, haha. It also reminds me of the Dior Fluidsticks too, so if that’s not in your budget, I’d give this a try first!

Something Extra

IMG_1308

I love bright lip colors! I gravitate to them like bees do to flowers, haha. I love how they can take a simple look up a notch and they just make me happy to look at! Honestly that’s why I wear them all the time, haha.

That’s it for the Lip Product Addict Tag! What did you think of it? What are some of your favorite lip products? I would love to see your answers to this tag in a blog post or the comments!
