Style Korean Haul 2: Lovely in Spring Beauty Box “Unboxing”

Hello everyone!

Today I’m going to share with you my second haul from Style Korean. I saw that they were doing some pre-made beauty boxes (similar to what Memebox does) and it had a few items I’ve been dying to try, so I decided to make another order!

I got the “Lovely in Spring” Box and a few other things. Now to the “unboxing!” It didn’t come in a separate box from the rest of my purchases, but everything was packaged together very well.

So the box came with 6 different items:

First is one of the items I had already wanted to purchase, and it’s the Labiotte’s Chateau Labiotte Wine Eyeshadow Palette in #02 Sweet Wine.

So far I really love it! It’s got really beautiful shades and the packaging is nice and lightweight.

Next is the COSRX Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask. I’m really excited to try this because I really love sheet masks with honey, so I’m hoping I’ll like this too!

The next product is another one I’ve been wanting to try. It’s Heimish’s All Clean Balm, which is a solid balm cleanser.

I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m really excited to!

The last skincare item is a set of 10 Mediheal N.W.F. Aquaring Ampoule Masks. I love sheet masks, so I was really excited that this was included in the box! Can’t wait to try these too!

The next item is a lip product from the brand Chica Y Chico. It’s their Mat Fix Matte Lip in 001 Mata Hari, a really pretty red shade. I haven’t tried it yet, but the curved applicator makes it look like it’ll be easy to apply!

And the last item from the box was something I was very interested in trying! It’s the Aprilskin Black Magic Snow Cushion 2.0 in the shade #21 Light Beige.

After trying the pikachu one from Tony Moly, I really wanted to try other cushion foundations! So I am anxious to try this one out too!

Items I bought outside of the box:

I got two other items during this order, the first being some replacement rubycell air puffs because my dog had gotten ahold of my other ones somehow and chewed them to bits, haha. I decided to go with these Heimish ones since they came in a pack of 5, which is more convenient for me.

They last item I purchased was Etude House’s Play 101 Blending Pencil in #7, which is a pretty dusty pink color. This was a bit of an impulse buy, but I don’t regret it! It’s such a pretty color!

And the last item that was in my order (shown in the full photo at the top of the post) was a free sample of Benton’s Snail Bee High Content Skin (Toner), which I have yet to try.

So that’s it for my haul guys! Have yo ordered from Style Korean before? Let me know in the comments!

Pokemon X Tony Moly Haul!

Hello everyone!

Recently, Tony Moly collaborated with Pokemon to create a makeup and skincare collection! And because I love Pokemon so much, I couldn’t help but want to purchase a lot of items, haha.

But the first item I bought wasn’t from this collection. I bought Etude House’s Beauty Shot Face Blur cause I’ve been dying to try it!

So I figured I’d pick it up since I was already buying other things, haha.

But anyways, onto the Tony Moly Haul!

The first thing I was interested in buying was this adorable Pikachu Eyeshadow Palette!

I love that Pikachu is on the outside, and the colors are nice, neutral browns that are great for everyday. I’ve been using it quite a bit since I got it, and the eyeshadows are really good quality! There very pigmented and smooth! This collection also has a Jigglypuff version with rosy brown shades, and now I’m super tempted to buy that one too, lol.

The next item I bought was this Pikachu Mini Cover Cushion in #01 Skin Beige.

This is actually my first cushion foundation, and so I thought it was great that it’s a smaller size, just in case I don’t wear it often (as I don’t always wear base makeup). I still haven’t tried this yet, but I’m planning on trying it this weekend! So excited!

Since many reviews of the cushion mentioned that it was really dewy, I figured I’d might as well get the adorable Purin (Jigglypuff) Peach Pact in #01 Downy Vanilla.

I love how Jigglypuff is imprinted on the powder! This is another product I haven’t tried yet, so I can’t really say if I like it yet, but I can’t wait to try it too!

I also bought a few things from their skincare line. The first thing I got was this Pikachu Moisture Foam Cleanser.

Again, I haven’t tried this yet because I just opened another cleanser, but I couldn’t resist the Pikachu packaging!! So adorable!

The last thing I bought for myself was the Isanghesshi (Bulbasaur) Hand Cream. I didn’t take any close up photos of this because I also bought another cream for my sister for her Christmas stocking, so if I like it I’ll do a review post after I try it!

And the last thing I received was a bunch of Tony Moly samples! I got 3 different hand creams/hand milks to try and then this mysterious men’s skincare product that I don’t really know what it’s for, haha. Maybe it’s like a serum/toner?

But anyways, that’s it for my haul! Have you bought anything from this collection? Let me know in the comments!

Sephora Haul!

Hello everyone!

Today I’m going to share with you some of the things I bought from Sephora quite a while back. I debated whether or not to post about it but since I had already taken the photos I figured it was worth talking about!

The reason I made this order was because there was a great sample bag as a gift with purchase. I had some things I was already planning on buying at some point, so this sample bag made the decision for me, haha.

So the first two items I bought were two more Chosungah22 lip tints! I mentioned several times how much I love the pink one (Chiffon), but I had been wanting to try two other shades, Cashmere, which is red, and Velvet, which is burgundy.

I already love these and the darker colors are perfect for fall!

The next item I bought was actually an impulse buy, since I saw that it was on sale. It’s the Ciate London X Olivia Polermo The Smouldering Eye Palette. It has 9 different shadows and they are definitely on the darker, smokier side, as the name implies.

It’s a bit different than what I usually go for, but I’ve used some of the shades already and the texture is just amazing! I was so impressed by the formula of these that I may consider trying more of Ciate’s shadows in the future.

Since It was an online order, I also picked 3 samples to go with my purchase!

I got sachets of one of Lancome’s toners, a Josie Maran moisturizer, and a sample of Givenchy Le Rouge lipstick.

I also spent 100 of my points to get a small tube of Dr. Jart+’s Ceramidin cream, which I’ve heard really good things about.

I haven’t used it yet though!

And last but not least, here are the contents of the sample bag!

My particular bag came with:

Dr. Brandt’s Microdermabrasion age defying exfoliator, The Estee Edit’s lipstick samples, a mini size of Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara, Atelier Cologne in Mandarine Glaciale, sachets of Fresh’s Soy Face Cleanser, Rose Face Mask, and Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream, a small sized tub of Belif’s The True Cream- Aqua Bomb, Origin’s VitaZing moisturizer, and a tiny Beauty Blendercleanser Solid.

I have to say, I was most excited for the Belif cream and the beauty blendercleanser! But it will also be nice to try some of Fresh’s skincare too, since I’ve only ever tried their lipbalms.

So that’s it for this Sephora Haul guys! What have you been buying lately? Let me know in the comments!

July- October 2016 Favorites

Hello everyone!

Today I’m going to share with you my favorites for July all the way up until October. I decided to combine them because I didn’t have very many beauty favorites for each month to have it’s own post, lol.

Favs 8-10 2016

Beauty Favorites:

My first favorite is the Innisfree Apple Juicy Cleansing Oil!

Faves 8-10 2016 2

Lately I’ve been wearing more face makeup (BB cream, foundation, etc.) so I’ve been double cleansing with this more often lately. This cleansing oil is very gentle on my sensitive skin, even though it’s highly fragranced. It smells like the apple Life Saver gummi candies, which I actually really love, haha.

My next favorite is the Bumble and Bumble Pret-a-Powder.

Faves 8-10 2016 3

This is a dry shampoo thats in a powder from, rather than an aerosol spray can. I really love the Living Proof dry shampoo, but I just run out of it too quickly and since it’s pretty expensive, I wanted to try something else. I also had a trip coming up, so I wanted something that I wouldn’t have to worry about taking on the plane, so I picked this! I still prefer the Living Proof one a little bit more, but this one works really well and will last me forever, so I’m sticking with it, haha.

Another product I’ve been loving lately is the NYX Proof It! Waterproof Eye Primer!

Faves 8-10 2016 4

I bought this fairly recently when I lost my other primer, and it does a great job of keeping my eyeshadow in place like the Urban Decay one, but for only $6 dollars! I have very oily eyelids,  so if your eyes are similar then I really recommend giving this a try. The only thing I will say though is that eyeshadow is harder to blend out on top of this and it’s a bit more difficult to remove compared to other ones I’ve tried. Using a cleansing oil takes it off super easily though so no worries!

My last beauty favorite is the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette! I took this with me when I was in Maine and it was perfect for any occasion.

Faves 8-10 2016 5

I’ve featured this in my favorites before and it truly is an awesome eyeshadow palette. The eyeshadows are fantastic quality and the shades are extremely versatile. My favorite shade is Marzipan, which is a pretty rose gold color! I’ve already been making a small dent in it, haha.

Non-Beauty Favorites:

One of my first non-beauty favorites was the GOT7 Concert I went to in July! It was so awesome to be able to go to their concert, since they are one of my favorite Kpop groups!

GOT7 Concert 1

It was so amazing and I really hope to be able to go again someday! I was also lucky enough to be able to take a photo with them too!

GOT7 Concert 2

My photos aren’t the best, but it really was so much fun and I feel really lucky to be able to see one of my favorite groups perform live and meet them after!

My next favorite was another awesome trip to Maine! I went to Maine to visit my boyfriend before he moved back home, since I hadn’t seen him in person for around 6 months prior to the trip.

We went to Acadia National Park, where I took some photos that I’ll share with you today!

So that’s it for my favorites the past few months guys! What have you been loving? Let me know in the comments!

Things I’ve Bought Lately Part 2

Hello everyone!

This is part two of my blog posts showing what I’ve been buying lately. This post will focus on all the smaller things I’ve bought over time, rather than all at once like in Part 1.

I had a coupon for Wet & Wild products ones day, so I finally decided to try one of their famous Color Icon Palettes.

WWCI 1WWCI 2

This is in the shade selection “Walking on Eggshells,” and I have to say, the formula of these shadows is really good! Especially because they’re super affordable even without coupons.

The next things I bought were some new sunscreens to try!

Parasola and Shiseido UV

I bought the Naris Up Parasola Essence in UV Cut Gel and the Shiseido Q10 BG Mineral Water UV Essence. I’ve already talked about one of them in my June favorites, and I’ve since tried the other as well. I like both quite a lot!

The last few things I bought were two items from NYX!

NYX 1

I had lost my eyeshadow primer at my boyfriend’s house somehow, and I really needed one because my eyelids get super oily and eyeshadow creases very easily. Since I didn’t want to pay for a new tube of the Urban Decay primer that I lost just yet (I’m hoping he’ll find it soon, it was practically brand new!), I decided to try the NXY Proof It! Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer. It’s actually quite good!

NYX 2

I also picked up a Soft Matte Lip Cream in the Shade Prague, which I’ve had my eye on since these lip creams were released! This shade is so beautiful and perfect for fall!

NYX 3

So that’s all the stuff I’ve picked up lately! I bought quite a bit, lol. What have you been buying lately? Let me know in the comments!

April 2016 Favorites

Hello everyone!

Today I’m going to share with you my April 2016 favorites! There are a few new things I’ve been loving beauty-wise, so I’m really excited to share them with you today!

April 2016 Favs

Beauty Favorites:

My first favorite is the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette! I bought this during the spring Sephora VIB sale since I’ve had my eye on it for a long time.

TF Chocolate Bar

And I’m happy to say that I’m sooooo glad I bought it! I’ve been using this almost nonstop since I bought it. The shadows in this palette are all great quality and very pigmented! And the chocolate scent is really cool too, haha. Every time I open it up I get a whiff and it’s so awesome! But that’s probably cause I love chocolate.

My next favorite is a dry shampoo! This is the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo.

Living Proof Dry Shampoo

I’ve been trying to go longer between shampoos the past few months and this dry shampoo really helps with that second day grease, haha. I feel like it’s done better at making my hair look cleaner than other dry shampoos and the smell is really nice. I also appreciate that the smell isn’t as strong as other dry shampoos, because I feel like sometimes they can be overwhelming.

Non-beauty Favorites:

My first favorite is a cd! It’s GOT7’s new album, Flight Log: Departure.

GOT7 FL:D

All of the songs are really catchy and if you’ve seen my blog posts before you’ll know I’m a big fan of GOT7 in general. The album art is also quite pretty! It appeals to my love of girly things, hahaha. I do recommend giving them a listen if you haven’t before!

My final favorite is an app called Memrise! I’ve been learning Korean on my own and this app has been really helpful for learning vocabulary. I also use it to keep up with my Japanese, as over time my vocabulary has definitely decreased, haha.

It makes learning a lot of fun because it’s like a game, so I really recommend it to those learning a language!

So that’s it for my April Favorites! What have you been loving lately? Let me know in the comments!

March 2016 Favorites

Hello everyone!

Today I’m going to share with you my March favorites! I’ve definitely been super busy with school, so unfortunately I didn’t blog much this month. Or the past few months, really. But I do have a few favorites I’d like to share with you!

March 2016 Favs

Beauty Favorites:

My first beauty favorite is this foaming cleanser I bought when I was at Marukai, which is a Japanese supermarket. I’m not really sure if there is a brand name, because even the super market just called it Whip Premium, haha. It was on special for only $5!

Whip Premium

This is the first foaming cleanser (and first Japanese cleanser) I’ve tried, and I really love the texture! It lathers up really really well and I feel like it does a great job at getting all of the dirt from my face after a long day. It also works well with my sensitive skin, which is another huge plus!

My next beauty favorite this past month has been the Urban Decay Naked Palette!

UD Naked 1

I found myself gravitating towards this palette all month, and in particular to the shades Sin and Naked. I use Sin all over the lid, with Naked in the crease, and they’re perfect for everyday makeup looks! Like the other Urban Decay shadows I have, this palette’s shadows are high quality and highly pigmented. They’re super smooth and easy to blend too!

My last beauty favorite for this month is the Canmake Your Lip Only Gloss in 01.

Canmake gloss

I bought this lipgloss when I went to Japan last year, and lately I’ve really enjoyed using it over various lip tints! It’s a clear gloss that turns pink on the lips, which looks good over my pink lip tints. The texture of this gloss is also really nice, as it’s not sticky and feels slightly moisturizing through the wear as well.

Non-Beauty Favorites:

My non-beauty favorite for this month is a new place that I visited: Portland, Oregon!

There were so many different things that I loved about this city! It has awesome public transportation, great food, and lots of parks to take pictures in.

One of the things I really loved was Washington Park and the Japanese Garden nearby! Both were so beautiful and very peaceful.

Washington Park Japanese Garden

Left to Right: Washington Park, Portland Japanese Garden

The cherry trees were also blooming and it was so pretty! I had never seen cherry blossoms in person before as they don’t grow where I live, so I was really happy that I got to experience that.

Cherry Blossoms- Portland

Another standout was the food! My sister and I ate so much, haha. We tried Voodoo Donuts as well, which was awesome! I love sweets, haha.

Voodoo Donuts

Powell’s Books was also amazing! I didn’t take pictures inside because I was just so amazed at how large the store was, but I did get a cute t-shirt!

So that’s it for my favorites this month! What have you guys been loving? Let me know in the comments!

February 2016 Favorites

Hey everyone!

I have a few favorites to share with you this month, but I almost didn’t share any because it’s mostly stuff I’ve mentioned many, many times before.

But, there are a few things that I truly have been loving, so I figured I should still share them!

February 2016 favs

Beauty Favorites:

My first favorite is a shadow from my much-loved Smashbox Beauty Exposed Palette, in particular the shade Marble (very center shade).

Feb 2016 favs 2Feb Favs 3

I love this palette a lot, but this past month in particular I’ve been wearing Marble almost every day! I like to wear it all over the lid with an inner corner highlight and a darker brown on the outer corner of my lash line. I’ve mentioned it many times before, but I really love this shadow and the rest of the palette too. One of my favorite purchases!

My next favorite is the brushes I use everyday! They are my Ecotools brushes.

Feb Favs 4Feb 2016 Favs 5

I have two sets, one that has two double ended brushes and one that has some that are travel sized. I use the ones shown here the most. In particular, I like using the fluffy double ended one with my Smashbox eyeshadow!

These brushes are super soft and stand up to washing very well, so I definitely recommend them! Plus, they’re super affordable too, which is always a plus!

Non-Beauty Favorites:

My non-beauty favorite for this month is the K-Pop group Ladies Code!

They’ve been a huge favorite of mine since they debuted, and when they finally had a comeback this past month after being gone so long I was super excited!

Ladies Code- Galaxy

I love the concept for the whole Mystery album as well. It’s both mature and very unique. Very reminiscent of the kind of style/concept for “Hate You,” but much more mature and grown up. I missed Ladies Code so much, so I am glad that they decided to remain in the K-pop industry. I am really proud of how strong they have been.

So that’s it for my favorites this month! What have you guys been loving? Let me know in the comments!
