The Face Shop Haul!

Hello everyone!

Today I’m going to share with you some things I bought at The Face Shop! Recently I went to a concert in a city about 1 hour away from where I live, so my sister and I wanted to find something to do before it was time for the concert. There was a mall nearby, so I looked it up and lo and behold, they actually had The Face Shop!

I was really excited, since I’ve never seen one of their stores in person, so we definitely had to go! And of course, I managed to buy a lot of things. Mostly sheet masks, haha.

I got 20 sheet masks while I was there, since they had a buy 10 get 10 free sale and I always love using sheet masks.

I got some in: White Tea, Green Tea, Peony, Lily, and Lotus

And a lot more in: Honey, Cucumber, Aloe, Rice, Avocado, Acai Berry, Kelp, Pomegranate, and Blueberry.

I also bought the Ink Graffiti Liquid Liner in number 02 Full Brown.

I have been looking for a new liquid liner and the shop staff said that they really enjoyed using it themselves, so I decided to give it a try. And so far, I really love it! The color is not too harsh like a black liquid liner usually is, which makes it easier for me to wear it on a daily basis.

And because I spent so much money, I got some free samples!

They gave me another Green Tea sheet mask and some skincare items: The Therapy Oil Blending Formula Cream and the Chia Seed Fresh Cleansing Foam.

So that’s all that I got at The Face Shop! Have you guys tried anything from them? Let me know in the comments!

Memebox: Intro to K-Pop Star Makeup Box #So Cute Vol. 3 Unboxing/Haul

Hello everyone!

So I’ve been buying a lot of stuff recently, in particular stuff from Memebox, so I wanted to share some of that with you today! I don’t have everything included in here, as one is actually a christmas gift (for me from my mom) and one I haven’t received in the mail yet, but I’ll show that to you guys when the time comes!

So first of all, I bought two different things from Memebox. I got the Intro to K-Pop Star Makeup Box #So Cute Vol. 3 and one of the XO Memebox I’m Eyeliners.

Onto the Unboxing!

So Cute Memebox 1So Cute Memebox 2

This box came with 6 different items from the XO Memebox line, all to help you “achieve the cute & innocent babyface look that you see all over K-Pop music videos.”

First is the I’m Stick Shadow in #01 Have a Nice Day ($7.50), which is a beautiful glittery peachy-gold shade.

I'm Stick Shadow #01

I’ve tried most of the products in this box already and I have to say that I’m really impressed with this! It works really well as an eyeshadow base and sets quickly, so it doesn’t crease for quite a long time on my oily eyes.

Next is the I’m Cream Shadow in #01 Flash Light ($7.50), which is a glittery pearl shade.

I'm Cream Shadow #01

I have been using this in my inner corners and I’m loving the intense sparkle it gives! It makes me want to try more shades, haha.

The third product is the I’m Pro Mascara in #02 Volume & Curl ($14), and it’s a black shade.

I'm Pro Mascara #02

This is one of the products I haven’t tried yet, as I have a few mascaras open and I don’t want to have too many open at one time. But when I do try it, I’ll let you know how it is!

The next product is the I’m Lip Tint Balm in #CR008 Lovely Coral ($7), which is a very nice coral tinted balm (like it says! Haha).

I'm Lip Tint Balm #CR008

So far I really love this, as it’s more pigmented than I expected. It also smells like the Pony Blossom lipsticks, which is awesome! I love that smell so much, haha.

This box also included the I’m Lip Tint in #PK657 Monaco Nude Pink ($14), and it’s a pretty nude shade.

I'm Lip Tint #PK657

I don’t wear nude shades very often, but I feel like this one is pretty wearable, since its got a pink undertone to it. Very pretty!

The last item in this box is the Memebox Hydrogel Mask ($3).

Memebox Hydrogel Mask

I haven’t used it yet, but I have tried it in the past when it came with another box. It was nice, but it’ll be good to try it again!

This box also came with some free samples from the brand It’s Skin, which I’ve never tried before, so I’m pretty excited to try them out!

So Cute Memebox It's Skin Samples

They sent me a sachet of the Power 10 Formula YE Effector and their cleansing oil.

So the very last item that I bought is the XO Memebox I’m Eyeliner in the shade #05 Jade ($5).

I'm Eyeliner #05

It’s a beautiful deep olive green with golden shimmer, and I’ve been using this quite a bit since I got it! I think it’s perfect for fall and will be great during the holiday season too! It’s so pretty!

So that’s all that I bought for now! I’ll do another post when I get the last item I ordered!

Have you guys tried any of these products? Let me know what you think in the comments!

September 2015 Favorites

Hey everyone!

Today I’m going to tell you what my favorites have been for the past month! Time really has been flying by, haha. I feel like it was just August and now it’s October?!?! What happened?

September 2015 Favorites

Anyways, on to the favorites!

Beauty Favorites:

My first favorite this month are these brushes from Cala!

Cala Brushes 2

I have a whole review I did on them, so I’m not going to go into much detail here, but let’s just say I was extremely impressed with the quality of these brushes for the price! I’ve been using them almost every day since I got them, so when I can I’m going to stock up on some more!

My next beauty favorites are these two lipsticks.

Pony and Clinique lipsticks

One is the Pony X Memebox Blossom Lipstick in #2 Spring Romance, which I did a review of here. The other is the Clinique Almost Lipstick in the shade Black Honey. I’ve been really liking the dark, red toned lips lately (even though it still feels like summer where I live), and these two are just perfect for fall! I can’t stop wearing them!

The next favorite I have for you today is the NYX Wonder Pencil in the shade WP01 Light.

NYX Wonder Pencil

Now, NYX markets this as something that you can use all over the face in various ways, but I only bought it to use it on my waterline. I was always curious if using a nude/flesh toned pencil on the lower waterline would make a difference in how my eyes looked when I was having really bad allergy days, and I’m happy to say that it does! I was really impressed with the performance as well, since it lasted almost the whole day on my waterline. Now I feel like I look less scary when my allergies get really bad, haha.

My last beauty favorite is actually an eyeshadow from a gift with purchase palette from Clinique.

Clinique Lucky Penny

It’s the shade Lucky Penny (top left), and I feel like it’s perfect for fall! I’ve also been wearing similar shades to this the whole month as well, so I’ve been really loving the warm shimmery shades lately! And I hadn’t used this palette in a while, so I forgot just how much I loved it! The quality of Clinique’s eyeshadows are great, so if this is available as a single shadow, I’d highly recommend swatching it to see for yourself!

Non-Beauty Favorites:

My non-beauty favorite for this month is Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer!

AC: HHD

It released the 25th, and I have been playing it constantly! I literally have to force myself to stop playing so that I can eat, haha. I’ve been a fan of the Animal Crossing series since the first one released here in the states, so I was really excited to try a new type of game! This one focuses on the design and landscaping aspect, so if that was your favorite part of the main series games, I highly recommend this!

That’s it for my favorites this month! What have you been loving? Let me know in the comments!

Urban Decay Naked on the Run Palette Review and Swatches

Hello!

Today I’m going to talk about Urban Decay’s Naked on the Run palette! I got this for Christmas and I’ve been loving it! It recently made it into my January 2015 favorites and I’m very excited to share it with you today!

This palette has everything you need for a complete makeup look in one place, which makes it great for traveling. It contains six eyeshadows, a blush and a bronzer, a lipgloss, and a travel sized eyeliner and mascara.

Perversion Mascara

I totally love this palette! The eyeshadows are the same great quality that Urban Decay is known for and so easy to apply. They are super smooth, blendable, and really easy to use. There isn’t any one color thank makes you go, “Hmm, how do I use that?” You can get a whole range of looks from day to night as well! I find myself reaching for this palette all the time!

The blush and the bronzer are extremely pigmented with a finely milled, smooth texture. I don’t usually wear bronzer (I’m a little scared of looking like a clown due to using a heavy hand! Haha), but I do love to wear this blush! It’s a very bright but still wearable shade of pink that I find really brightens up my skin!

The lipgloss is a nice natural my-lips-but-better shade and has a slightly minty scent and taste. I really love it, but some people might not enjoy it. The eyeliner is a really beautiful brown color with a slight hint of shimmer that looks really great for everyday! It has the same creamy formula as the rest of the 24/7 liners and wears without smudging for most of the day!

What I really have been loving lately is the mascara! It’s extremely black and makes my lashes really full and voluminous! I find that I have been reaching for it most days of the week. It also removes pretty easily with my bi-phase remover, which is a plus.

The Verdict: I love this palette so much! There is a reason it was in my January favorites, haha. If you are new to Urban Decay I would really recommend trying this out because you get a range of their products for a good price. So happy with it!

I got this palette for christmas but it is still available at Sephora, Ulta, and Urban Decay’s website for $54.

Have you tried this palette? Let me know in the comments!!

DD’ell Stay Forever Gel Eye Pencil Review and Swatches

Today I’m going to review a product that came in the F/W Natural Makeup Superbox!

The DD’ell Stay Forever Gel Eye Pencil is described by Memebox as a creamy gel pencil that lasts all day with a formula that is formulated for sensitive eyes.

image_3image_6

The shade is in number 04 Espresso, which is a deep brown with a slight hint of shimmer. I really love the color of this eyeliner, since it is a nice deep brown that can be worn with most daily makeup looks. The formula is also great, and it does not smudge on me at all, which is a rare feat for a pencil eyeliner!

One problem I have with this eyeliner is that I don’t understand how you are supposed to get more product out. It is not a twist up design, but the packaging is made of plastic, so I guess you sharpen it? I would have appreciated a twist up design for this or wooden packaging.

The Verdict: I really love the formula of this! But the design is so confusing!

Have any of you tried this eyeliner before and know if you’re supposed to sharpen it? Let me know in the comments!

Update: Apparently, (according to a review I saw on GMarket), you do sharpen them! Huh! That’s the strangest thing I’ve ever seen for an eyeliner, but ok! If that means I get to use up the rest of this great formula, that’s fine by me!

Urban Decay Triple Threat Travel Pencil Set: Smokey Matte Edition Review and Swatches

Today I’m going to review something I bought at Sephora during Black Friday!
image
The Urban Decay Triple Threat Travel Pencil Set: Smokey Matte Edition ($19) was not part of the ten dollar deals Sephora had for Black Friday, but as I had been eyeing the set for a while, I decided to get it. You get 3 travel size liners (at .08 g each) in three smoky, matte shades.
UD TTL Swatches
Top to bottom: Sabbath (deep navy), Perversion (blackest black), Smoke (deep gray)
I’m really glad I picked these up! All of these liners are really creamy and easy to apply and last almost the whole day on my oilier eyelids. Eventually there is a little bit of smudging, but that happens no matter what eyeliner I wear, even with a good primer on underneath.
All of the colors in this set are very easy to wear as they are all neutrals, but I would have to say my favorite one is the gray liner in Smoke. It’s not too dark or harsh against my skin tone and wearable for everyday makeup looks. Perversion will be perfect for those days when I want to go really dramatic with my eye makeup, since it is one of the darkest black eyeliners I’ve ever tried.
The verdict: I love these! I’m so glad I got them because now I have some really great eyeliners in a few shades for the price of one full size liner. The texture is very nice and I really recommend this set to those that are looking to try Urban Decay for the first time!
Have you tried this set before? Let me know in the comments!
