StyleKorean Haul!

Hello everyone!

I ordered some stuff from StyleKorean’s website for the first time not too long ago, and so I thought I’d share what I ordered with you!

First of all, StyleKorean’s website was pretty easy to use and the prices I found to all be very reasonable. The only thing that was not as great was the shipping price, but honestly it wasn’t too bad, considering that they are shipping these products all the way from Korea. However, if you live in the US, currently they are doing free shipping with orders over $70, which is awesome! And everything was packaged very nicely and securely, so I know I will order from them again in the future.

Onto the haul!

The first thing I got was these adorable Tony Moly X Pokemon Sheet Masks!! I had been wanting to try them and I was so glad that they had them in stock, since everywhere else I looked only had the rest of the make up or skincare from this collection.

I can’t wait to try these!

Next I got two items from Innisfree’s Green Tea line.

I got another Green Tea Seed Serum, which I love since I ran out, and I decided to also try the Green Tea Moisture Skin (Toner, I got the one for dry skin). I picked this up because Clinique recently discontinued the toner I usually use, so I wanted to find a suitable replacement. I love the serum, so I figured the toner would be a safe choice.

Since I mentioned my toner I currently use got discontinued, I also decided to pick up the Skinfood Black Sugar Perfect First Serum 2X Essential (weird name, haha).

I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m very impressed with the packaging! It comes in a glass bottle and with a bunch of cotton pads, which is why it’s more of a toner than a serum.

The last item I got is actually another repurchase!

I got the Memebox I’m Eyebrow Pencil in 04 Light Brown, which is my favorite eyebrow pencil I’ve used so far. I bought it from StyleKorean’s website however, because Memebox USA didn’t have it on their website anymore. 🙁 But I’m super happy that I was able to get it again! It really is my favorite because of the shape and color make it really easy to use.

So that’s it for my first haul from StyleKorean! Have you ever bought anything from their website? Let me know in the comments!

Memebox I’m Lip Liquid Review and Swatches

Hello everyone!

Today I’m going to review the Memebox I’m Lip Liquids that came in my K-Drama Makeup Box! I received two beautiful, bright colors, PK603 and RD600.

I'm Lip Liquids 1I'm Lip Liquids 2

Memebox describes these as intensely pigmented glosses that you can wear blended out for natural looks or fully layered for a more intense look! And boy, they aren’t kidding about these glosses packing the pigment! You can blend a few small dots of these onto your lips and they will cover them completely in a super smooth, pigmented layer!

I'm Lip Liquid PK603 pic 1

Like this!

Memebox also says that these glosses have 3 different ingredients to nourish your lips: Manuka Honey, Argan oil, and Rosehip oil. Personally when you wear them sheered out, I don’t feel like these are all that hydrating, and if your lips are already dried out (like mine are right now), it can be uncomfortable. But I will say that they wear very comfortably when my lips aren’t as dry as the Saharah! And when you wear them fully opaque, that’s when you feel the hydrating powers of the oils! They wear very comfortably for around 5 hours with minimal eating/drinking, leaving behind a pretty staining effect.

I'm Lip Liquid Swatch 1I'm Lip Liquid Swatch 2

Left to Right: PK603, RD600 in artificial light and natural light, respectively.

I will say that they don’t really set at all, so they transfer to other things really easily. I would be careful when wearing this cause if you absentmindedly touch it, it may smear all over the place, haha.

The Verdict:

With all that being said, I really do enjoy these (PK603 is my favorite!) and I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a glossy liquid-lipstick type of product. And these are so amazingly pigmented too!

Have any of you tried these before? Do you want to try them? Let me know in the comments!

January 2016 Favorites

Hello everyone!

Can you believe that the first month of the new year is already over?? It went by so fast!

I have a few things that I really enjoyed using over the past month that weren’t the same-old-same-old stuff I always talk about in my favorites, so that’s what I’m going to share with you today!

Beauty Favorites:

January 2016 Favs

First up is the Soyoung concealer that I got in my edition of the K-Drama Memebox.

Soyoung Concealer 2Soyoung Concealer 3

I have the shade #01 Lovely Beige and I have to say, this is the perfect color for my skin right now! It can be hard to find base makeup that isn’t too dark for me (because I’m super pale, lol) and doesn’t also have a funky undertone, but this is just perfect! It also has pretty good pigmentation and is about medium coverage.

I’m not sure if I’m going to try other concealers when I run out of this, because I really really enjoy this formula. But we’ll see when that happens, hahaha.

My next favorite is also from the K-Drama Makeup Memebox, and it’s the Memepuffs (set of five).

Meme Puffs

I finally got to try these kinds of airpuffs, and let me tell you, I’m so glad I had the opportunity to try them! These make blending in both foundation and concealer so easy! I don’t want to use anything else any more, haha.

The only thing I don’t like is how hard they are to clean, but that’s something I’m willing to live with, hahaha.

My third favorite is actually two I use together! It’s the Sephora Rouge Infusion Lip Tint in The Neutrals: #19 Peony and the Holika Holika Heartfull Glossy Lipstick in PK122 Humming Pink.

Sephora lip tint/ Holika Holika lipstick 1Sephora Lip Tint/ Holika Holika lipstick 2

I use these two products to do a slight gradient lip effect that I’ve been really loving lately! This month I wore this combo at least 3-4 times a week cause I love it so much! In fact, I’m probably going to wear it a lot this month too, haha.

Sephora Lip Tint/ Holika Holika lipstick 3

How it looks on me! Told you I was pale, lol.

Non-Beauty Favorites:

So I’ve been really into Japanese fashion magazines for a long time (my favorites are Non-no and Ray!), and I figured out that I can actually buy them off of Amazon Japan!

Amazon Japan Box 1Amazon Japan box 2

Because of this, I’ve been doing a lot of shopping, haha. I only have bought and received magazines from amazon directly (I have one order from a third party seller that ships internationally and it will come within the next week or so), so I haven’t used any forwarding services yet.

But I digress! I am so happy with the orders I bought that were fulfilled by Amazon! They come so fast and are packaged very well, so I know I will order from them in the future!

My last favorite for this month is the cell phone game Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector!

Neko Atsume 1Neko Atsume 2Neko Atsume 3Neko Atsume 4

Omg guys, this game is just amazing. You leave out food and “goodies” and different cats will come and visit! You can take pictures of them and when they leave, they give you fish so that you can buy more goodies! My sister told me about this game, and now I’m absolutely addicted, lol. It’s available for both iPhone and Android, so now everyone can get addicted like me! Hahaha!

So that’s it for my favorites this month! What are some things you have been loving? Let me know in the comments!

2015 Favorites!

Hello everyone!

My goodness time has just flown by! I can’t believe it’s already 2016! Anyone make any New Years resolutions? Mine is to blog more often!

Speaking of blogging more often, today I’m going to share with you some of my favorite products for the whole year of 2015. I really tried to limit how much I picked, cause otherwise I would be here all day! A lot of these will be familiar to you guys already, but I feel like it’s worth bringing up why I like them so much, haha.

Pony X Memebox Shine Easy Glam 1 Palette Review and Swatches (Updated Formula)

Hey guys!

Today I’m going to review the last thing I bought from Memebox last month that I mentioned in my last unboxing post! I had been wanting to buy this palette for a long time, so when they updated the formula and had it on sale for $15, I jumped at the chance!

Pony Shine Easy Glam 1Pony Shine Easy Glam 1 open

This palette has eight eyeshadows total, with four shadows being matte formulas (Easy shadows), two glitter (Shine shadows), and two shimmer (Glam shadows).

The formula on these eyeshadows seem to have the same pigmentation as the previous formula did, but I’ve noticed that I get a little bit less fallout from this as compared to the original. The shine shades are super glittery, so fallout was expected, haha. However, the matte shades and the glam shades I don’t seem to have an issue with. This formula also isn’t as pigmented as brands like Urban Decay, but I think that makes them super easy to work with, especially for beginners!

Pony Shine Easy Glam 1 Swatches 1

From Left to Right: Easy Base, Easy Shade, Easy Brown, Easy Charcoal

Pony Shine Easy Glam 1 Swatches 2

From Left to Right: Shine Rosegold, Shine Gold, Glam Espresso, Glam Cocoa

The matte shades are actually some of my favorite shades in the palette! They are super buttery and smooth, and blend super easily. Easy Shade is my favorite color out of all of the shadows, and I like to use it in my crease.

I truly am glad I bought this palette and have been using it almost every day since I got it!

The Verdict:

I love this palette! This is a great everyday palette and the shadows are just so easy to work with. I recommend picking this up if you get the chance!

Have any of you guys tried this palette? Let me know in the comments!

Memebox: Intro to K-Pop Star Makeup Box #So Cute Vol. 3 Unboxing/Haul

Hello everyone!

So I’ve been buying a lot of stuff recently, in particular stuff from Memebox, so I wanted to share some of that with you today! I don’t have everything included in here, as one is actually a christmas gift (for me from my mom) and one I haven’t received in the mail yet, but I’ll show that to you guys when the time comes!

So first of all, I bought two different things from Memebox. I got the Intro to K-Pop Star Makeup Box #So Cute Vol. 3 and one of the XO Memebox I’m Eyeliners.

Onto the Unboxing!

So Cute Memebox 1So Cute Memebox 2

This box came with 6 different items from the XO Memebox line, all to help you “achieve the cute & innocent babyface look that you see all over K-Pop music videos.”

First is the I’m Stick Shadow in #01 Have a Nice Day ($7.50), which is a beautiful glittery peachy-gold shade.

I'm Stick Shadow #01

I’ve tried most of the products in this box already and I have to say that I’m really impressed with this! It works really well as an eyeshadow base and sets quickly, so it doesn’t crease for quite a long time on my oily eyes.

Next is the I’m Cream Shadow in #01 Flash Light ($7.50), which is a glittery pearl shade.

I'm Cream Shadow #01

I have been using this in my inner corners and I’m loving the intense sparkle it gives! It makes me want to try more shades, haha.

The third product is the I’m Pro Mascara in #02 Volume & Curl ($14), and it’s a black shade.

I'm Pro Mascara #02

This is one of the products I haven’t tried yet, as I have a few mascaras open and I don’t want to have too many open at one time. But when I do try it, I’ll let you know how it is!

The next product is the I’m Lip Tint Balm in #CR008 Lovely Coral ($7), which is a very nice coral tinted balm (like it says! Haha).

I'm Lip Tint Balm #CR008

So far I really love this, as it’s more pigmented than I expected. It also smells like the Pony Blossom lipsticks, which is awesome! I love that smell so much, haha.

This box also included the I’m Lip Tint in #PK657 Monaco Nude Pink ($14), and it’s a pretty nude shade.

I'm Lip Tint #PK657

I don’t wear nude shades very often, but I feel like this one is pretty wearable, since its got a pink undertone to it. Very pretty!

The last item in this box is the Memebox Hydrogel Mask ($3).

Memebox Hydrogel Mask

I haven’t used it yet, but I have tried it in the past when it came with another box. It was nice, but it’ll be good to try it again!

This box also came with some free samples from the brand It’s Skin, which I’ve never tried before, so I’m pretty excited to try them out!

So Cute Memebox It's Skin Samples

They sent me a sachet of the Power 10 Formula YE Effector and their cleansing oil.

So the very last item that I bought is the XO Memebox I’m Eyeliner in the shade #05 Jade ($5).

I'm Eyeliner #05

It’s a beautiful deep olive green with golden shimmer, and I’ve been using this quite a bit since I got it! I think it’s perfect for fall and will be great during the holiday season too! It’s so pretty!

So that’s all that I bought for now! I’ll do another post when I get the last item I ordered!

Have you guys tried any of these products? Let me know what you think in the comments!

Pony X Memebox Pony Blossom Lipstick Review & Swatches

Today I’m going to review the Pony X Memebox Pony Blossom Lipstick in #2 Spring Romance! It can be bought on Memebox’s website for $12.

This is a semi-matte lipstick in a deep burgundy shade. The packaging is just as beautiful as the Shine Easy Glam 3 Palette packaging, with a floral print box! The actual lipstick bullet is in a beautiful package as well; it’s white with both Pony and the shade number on the outside in a holographic finish.

This lipstick glides on easily and has a lightweight feel. It’s not completely opaque on first swipe, but it looks beautiful both sheered out and fully opaque! It lasts around 5 hours on me without eating and drinking, but it does get a little dry around hour 3, so prepping with lip balm is essential!

Other than that this lipstick is awesome! It’s such a beautiful color and has this really nice fruity scent to it!

The Verdict:

I love this lipstick! I particularly like semi-matte and matte finish lipsticks, and this one has a great texture that’s easy to apply! If you are looking to add a deep burgundy shade to your lipstick collection I really recommend this!

Have you tried anything from this collection? Let me know in the comments!

May 2015 Favorites!

Hello everyone!

May has gone by so fast! I have a few favorites to share with you all this month, and some are repeats, haha. Let’s dive into it!

Beauty Favorites:

First up, is the Smashbox Beauty Exposed Eyeshadow Palette! It actually contains four eyeshadows and a highlighter, but I use that as a shadow too, haha.

I’ve had this for a few years and it’s obviously well loved, but I recently started using it more often and this month, I use it most days of the week! These eyeshadows are beautifully smooth and so easy to wear! Unfortunately this was a limited edition palette, but I know Smashbox carries other eyeshadows similar to these.

Next is the Pony X Memebox Shine Easy Glam 3 palette in #01 Brown Bloom!

I got this not too long ago and as you know from my review in my previous post, I’m really loving it! When I’m not wearing the shadows from the Smashbox palette, I’m wearing this! The shadows are just really great quality and really beautiful. There is quite a bit of fallout because they’re so glittery, but I don’t mind, haha.

My last beauty favorite is a repeat from my March favorites, the Pony X Memebox Easy Mix Block Blush in Galaxy Pink!

This is Just a beautiful pale pink blush that’s super natural looking, making it great for everyday! Because of that, I find myself still grabbing for this blush all the time! Definitely a great blush!

Fashion Favorites:

I have two fashion favorites for you this month! Both I got from Abercrombie during a sale, haha. Personally, I only ever buy stuff from Abercrombie when they’re on sale, haha. Too expensive otherwise!

The first item I have for you is this really pretty floral kimono top!

(Obviously I don’t usually wear this with this dress, haha)

It’s super girly and I have been wearing it as much as I can this month! I love it because of the print and it’s a really lightweight material, making it perfect for layering during the summer.

The last item I have for you today is this gray cardigan. I have been wearing this non-stop! I even wore it the day I wrote this, haha.

This is just a perfect long cardigan that goes with almost anything in my wardrobe! It’s super soft and comfy and perfect for my cold office and the cold classrooms! This is probably one of my favorite sweaters of all time, and I’m so glad I picked it up!

That’s it for my favorites! What are some of your favorites from May? Let me know in the comments!

Pony X Memebox Shine Easy Glam 3 Eyeshadow Quad Review and Swatches

Hello everyone!

I can’t believe how busy I’ve been lately! I really meant to review the Pony X Memebox Shine Easy Glam 3 Eyeshadow Quad (in #1 Brown Bloom) for a while now, but school got super busy this past month.

So, today I’m going to review it for you guys!

First of all, isn’t the packaging for this gorgeous?! I’m totally in love with the gold and white combo! Even the box it comes in has a beautiful floral print that just screams spring! The gold part is a magnet for fingerprints though.

This palette comes with four eyeshadows (at 6.5g total, including the packaging). You can purchase it for $18 at the Memebox website. These eyeshadows have quite a unique texture, as they feel sort of buttery and creamy, but are still really soft. There are two glam shades (shimmery) and two shine shades (glittery). This palette has a good balance of shades for all sorts of looks, whether it’s for day or night.

From left to right: Glam Nude Beige, Shine Brown, Glam Fair Brown, and Shine Midnight Brown

I will say that all of these shades have some glitter in them. The shade Glam Nude Beige is matte with glitters, and Glam Fair Brown has a really intense glittery finish. That being said, there is a lot of fallout with these shadows, so I would recommend doing your eye makeup before any foundation or base makeup. Using a sponge tipped applicator is also recommended.

I do really love the shade selection though! I feel like they are all easy to wear and look really really pretty! If you love glitter and shimmery shades, this is a definite winner!

I feel like the lasting power on my oily eyelids is also good, but I still use a primer underneath to help the shadows stay vibrant all day.

The Verdict: I love this palette! The colors are gorgeous! But I would say that you can’t apply it all willy-nilly. They require a bit more care so that you don’t have glitter all over the place. If you don’t like shimmer and glitter, I wouldn’t recommend this palette, but for those of us that do (like me), it’s definitely worth the price!

What do you guys think? Are you interested in this palette? Let me know in the comments!
