June 2016 Favorites!

Hey everyone!

I know it’s been a while, but today I’m going to share with you my favorite things from this past month! Let’s get started!

June Favs 2016

Beauty Favorites:

My first favorite is the Etude House Royal Jelly Sheet Mask.

June Favs 2016 2

I bought a pack of these when I had a layover in Korea last year, and I’ve loved them since then! But this month in particular these have been working really well for me, since my skin has been a little more sensitive. It’s super soothing and gentle, and my skin always feels a lot better after using it. I definitely have to get more once I run out of these!

My next favorite is a sunscreen I purchased recently to use on my body. It’s the Naris Up Parasola Essence In UV Cut Gel (SPF 50+/PA++++).

June Favs 2016 3

I was interested in trying a new sunscreen to use on my body on the days when I won’t be in the sun too much, and this sunscreen is totally perfect for that! What I really love about it is the texture; it’s like a milky gel (hence the name) that absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a sticky film behind, which is one of the things I dislike the most about other sunscreens. It also has a very pleasant scent as well, which is very light and not noticeable after a few minutes.

My last beauty favorite is also a skincare product, and it’s a travel sized version of the Laneige Water Sleeping Pack!

June Favs 2016 4

I’ve heard so many good things about Laneige, so I’ve been wanting to try them for a while. Luckily, my Target had this travel size trial kit, which included this amazing sleeping pack! It smells really good, but doesn’t irritate my skin, which is awesome. But the best thing about this is that my skin truly feels more hydrated after using this! It goes on with a pleasant cooling sensation and dries down eventually, meaning it’s not getting all over my pillow too! I used this when my skin had both a sunburn and was super dry because of the wind, and it felt so amazing and really helped to calm down the redness. I highly recommend it and will definitely buy the full size when I run out!

Non-beauty Favorites:

My first non-beauty favorite for this past month has been these Liz Lisa 3D flower pumps!

June Favs 2016 5

They’re the first pair of shoes I bought from Liz Lisa, and I could not be happier with them! Not only does the L or Large size fit me perfectly, these shoes are also super comfortable and I just want to wear them all the time! So lately on the weekends I find ways to wear these, since I can’t wear them to the lab, haha.

My last favorite for this month is actually a collection of podcasts that are all run by How Stuff Works. I love listening to these podcasts when I’m working in the lab or at the gym! In particular, I love the Stuff You Missed in History Class podcast, which is the one I first started listening to.

But I also listen to many of their other podcasts, such as Stuff Mom Never Told You, Stuff They Don’t Want You to Know, Stuff You Should Know, and Stuff to Blow Your Mind. I really do recommend these if you do a lot of work in a lab or similar environment because they make repetitive work much more fun! I also made sure to include a link to all of these podcasts in case anyone is interested!

So that’s it for my favorites this month! What have you been loving lately? Let me know in the comments!

Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence Review

Hey guys!

Today I’m going to review the Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50 PA++++, which I recently bought in Japan. As you all know, I really love Biore’s UV Aqua Rich Watery Mousse, and since I couldn’t find it, I decided to try out another sunscreen from Biore instead!

This sunscreen is really lightweight, with a light, watery texture (hence the name “watery essence”) and absorbs quickly into the skin. It leaves a slight cooling sensation for a few seconds after it absorbs, which I think feels really good!

This sunscreen also has great sun protection and doesn’t leave a white cast, despite the high SPF, which is great as well. It can be used both under makeup and by itself! It’s really hydrating so I really love how it feels on my skin!

However, I’ve noticed that my skin has been irritated lately. I’m not sure if it’s because of this, but I’ve paired down my skincare to the products I know don’t irritate me and waited for it to calm down before using this daily again. So far it seems ok, but I’ll update this post if it turns out to truly be irritating my skin.

The Verdict:

I really like how this feels! and for those of you who don’t have sensitive skin like me, I recommend giving this a try! It’s super affordable and works really well. But I think I’m going to go back to the Watery Mousse version instead, since I know it works well with my skin.

Have you used this before? Let me know what you think in the comments!

Update 9/2/2015: My favorite sunscreen (Biore’s UV Aqua Rich Watery Mousse) has been discontinued. 🙁 I don’t have backups so I guess I’ve got to find my holy grail sunscreen again! And I’ve decided to stop using this on my face. I’m pretty sure my skin doesn’t agree with it.

Does anyone know of any sunscreens similar in formula to this one? Let me know if you do, cause I need the suggestions!

echoice Pure Lily & Shea Butter Hand Therapy Review

Hello everyone!

This post is long overdue, but I thought it would be worth writing anyways.

Today I’m going to review the echoice Pure Lily & Shea Butter Hand therapy! I got this as part of the Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize! Memebox and my first impression of this hand cream wasn’t really all that great. It seemed way too floral for me to use, but I’m happy to say that after using it more, I don’t get headaches from the fragrance! Yay!

This hand cream has a very strong floral fragrance which is pleasant, but some people might not like it. It does fade away after a while too.

It is a slightly thick hand cream that is quite moisturizing, so I find that I have been using it more frequently than I expected! And the size of this cream (60g!) is great for the price! I found it on eBay for $5 (which is more than Memebox said it was worth, but still reasonable). I’ve paid a lot more for hand creams that are only 30g, so I think this hand is a great value if you enjoy the scent!

The Verdict: I’m really happy with this hand cream! Once I knew the smell wouldn’t bother me, I’ve been really pleased with it! I don’t know if I’ll but it again since I like to try new hand creams, but I’ll definitely use this up! I would just be wary of the smell for those who are sensitive.

Have any of you tried this hand cream? What are your favorites? Let me know in the comments!

Shara Shara Lemon Honey All-In-One Cream Review

Hello everyone!

Today I’m going to review the Shara Shara Lemon Honey All-In-One Cream from the Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize! Memebox.

This lotion is 200 mL and worth $13 (according to Memebox). However, it is not available on the Memebox website currently, but can be purchased for $7.16 (plus shipping) at Koreadepart.com.

Memebox describes this as having a silky smooth texture, and believe me, it does! The texture of this feels so amazingly smooth and sinks in rapidly without feeling greasy on the skin. It also is very hydrating, even though it’s not a thick, heavy cream. I had some problems with super itchy skin on my legs and this lotion really helped! I find that I don’t sit there scratching my legs to oblivion a lot less often than I had been before, which is great!

This lotion is lemon honey scented, but to be completely honest, it smells exactly like lemon scented Pledge! I actually really like it though, since it’s a very light and fresh scent. I really wanna see what the other versions of this lotion smell like now, haha.

Memebox says that this can also be used on your face, but since my skin on my face is pretty sensitive to smell, I haven’t tried it. I think I’ll just stick to using it on my body instead!

The Verdict: I love love love this lotion! I definitely want to purchase this lotion again when I run out of this bottle. I might try a different scent though, since they have a banana honey version as well, and I love banana scented things! The texture is amazing and it’s really affordable, so I recommend trying this out if you need a nice lightweight but moisturizing body lotion!

Have any of you tried this lotion? What about the banana scent? Let me know in the comments!
