Pony X Memebox Easy Mix Block Blush Review and Swatches

Hello everyone!

Today I’m going to do a review of the Pony X Memebox Easy Mix Block Blush in the shade Galaxy Pink, which was part of the Pony Box I got a while back.

This blush is $12 on the Memebox website and only comes in one shade, although I hope they release future shades of it! It’s a baby peachy pink color with a very soft and natural finish. I can’t tell if it’s a satin or a matte finish, but it’s so subtle it doesn’t really matter too much.

The formula is a bit powdery and sheer, but can be built up quite easily. It also has a slightly floral, sweet scent that I can’t really place, but I really love! It reminds me of the Benefit boxed blushes.

I’ve really been loving this blush! I have been reaching for it quite often in the past month! The only downside is that the shade is really quite pale. I don’t see this working very well on people with darker skin tones. I feel like it either won’t show up or it has the potential to look chalky if built up.

The Verdict: I think this blush is wonderful for those that have fairer skins and are looking for a natural blush for everyday! However, I really wish there was another shade that would look good on people with darker skin. So unless you’re quite pale, I wouldn’t really recommend it.

Have you tried this blush? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!

Small Shopping Haul!

Hello everyone!

I’ve done some shopping recently, both online and at the mall. So, I’m going to show you what I got today!

The first place I bought some stuff from is the eBay shop AlphabeautyUK.

I got some more of my favorite sunscreen, the Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Mousse Water Base. This is probably my fourth or fifth tube of this stuff! It’s definitely my favorite facial sunscreen! I’ve found that sunscreens from the US are always really greasy and don’t sit well under makeup, so when I tried this I was hooked! It sets matte and also has a really nice citrusy scent.

The next thing I got was this silicone face mask, by Daiso. It can be used over a regular sheet mask to help it stay on your face and also keep it from drying out too quickly. I just thought it would be super fun to try after seeing a few YouTubers using them. I’ve used it already and I really like it! A lot of sheet masks don’t stay on my chin very well, but this helped a lot.

It looks absolutely terrifying though! Hahaha

The last thing I got from the store was a microfiber hair turban. I got the color Macaron Purple, which is super pretty! I figured this would be good to use around the house or when I’m on trips, since I don’t want to walk around with a huge towel on my head. I don’t blow dry my hair (I’m too lazy), so I thought this would be good to keep it from dripping all over the place, haha.

At the same time, I ordered an eyeshadow palette from f2plus1 on eBay (also known as I got the Etude House Give Me Chocolate Shadow in the shade #2 Salted Caramel.

I think this looks so adorable! The shades are really pretty too! The packaging is stronger than the last chocolate themed eyeshadow palette I bought from Etude House (the Sweet Recipe Chocolate Eyes palette), which is good. This is so nice and travel friendly!

I also picked up some hair clips from H&M.

Nothing too fancy, but the price and size were good ($2.95 for a set of 4).

The last thing I bought was this floral maxi skirt from Hollister.

I’ve never owned a maxi skirt or dress, but when I saw this one I thought it was super cute so I tried it on. I loved it! So it came home with me, haha. I also got it 40% off in store, but you can still buy it here for full price. I would try to get it on sale first though.

That’s it for my haul! I’m really happy with all my purchases, haha.

Have you guys bought anything recently? What was it? Let me know in the comments!

My Favorite Looks for Spring!

Today I want to share with you some spring fashion inspiration! I love spring fashion so much! All of the stores start carrying pastels and beautiful floral prints and it just makes me want to go shopping!

So, I thought I’d look at what’s popular in my Japanese magazines and then try to recreate them for you here!

The first roundup is based on this outfit worn by the model Mirei Kiritani. I feel like this outfit is great when it’s still cold out, but you could substitute the sweater for a lighter top once it gets warmer. 2015-4 1

My version:

Sweet Spring

Items can be found by clicking below:

I really love this outfit as well! I thought it was great for days when it’s still a little chilly in the mornings. 2015-4 3

My version:

Pretty Floral

Items can be found by clicking below (except the dress):

This next outfit would also be great during the summertime! Can you tell I’m a little obsessed with floral prints? 2015-4 2

My version:

Spring Floral

This last outfit is a little on the simple side, but still gives that spring feel! 2015-4 4

My version:

Simple Yellow

I decided to include an option for more casual days (on the left) and one for slightly dressier events (on the right) without being over the top.

So that’s what styles I’ve been loving for spring! I know they’re super girly, so they won’t be to everyone’s taste, but I find them really fun!

Where do you get your inspiration for spring fashion? Is your style as girly as mine? Let me know in the comments!!

Memebox I’m Lip Tint Balm Review and Swatches

Today I’m going to review Memebox’s I’m Lip Tint Balm in the shade #01 True Red. This was part of the Pony X Memebox Box and the balm can be purchased on the Memebox website for $7.

This product is a tinted lip balm and comes in a black, glossy tube. I really like the packaging as it feels really sturdy in my hand and I don’t feel like the cap will come off in my bag. That would not be fun to clean up!

The version I got was the red color, which was more tinted than I anticipated. Most of the time balms like this seem to hardly produce any color on my lips, so I was really happy with how this one looks. However, it might not show up well on those with very pigmented lips or darker skintones. It’s really lightweight and feels slick and smooth on the lips. It kind of reminds me of the same texture that the Loreal Colour Riche Balms have. It does have a slightly sweet scent, but it’s very light.

Since this is a tinted balm, I thought I’d show you guys some before and after lip swatches as well as the arm swatch. This way you can get a feel for how sheer this may be on you.

I really have been enjoying this product! I find that I reach for it often, especially when I can’t be bothered to be careful when applying my lipstick. It’s perfect for everyday wear. It doesn’t last that long (maybe 3 hours without eating), but since it’s a lip balm, that doesn’t bother me.

The Verdict: I love this and I use it all the time! I think it’s great and the price isn’t too high either. I may even consider trying the hot pink version. If you love tinted lip balms, I really recommend you try this out!

Have you guys tried this? What are some of your favorite tinted lip balms? Let me know in the comments!

VELLA Fresh Creamy Soap Review

Today I’m going to talk to you about the VELLA Fresh Creamy Soap, which came in the Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize! Memebox and was one of my February favorites!

This soap is a cream cleanser that comes in a tub form (100 mL). A spatula is also included to keep things hygienic! It’s not available on Memebox’s website, but I did see it for sale on Amazon from the seller seoulglamour here.

First of all, I really love the details on the packaging! The small spatula is really thoughtful and I will definitely keep this when I run out of the cleanser to use with other products! The lid has a really adorable print around the rim, along with the cute style of the labels.

(That vine print is so cute!! I wish it was easier to take a picture of!)

This face wash is very creamy and very gentle and is great for sensitive skin. This cleanser also smells really good. It’s kind of citrusy and fresh! I love using it at night and I haven’t had any issues with my skin feeling extra dry after. Since I have really sensitive skin, this has been really awesome for me because I haven’t gotten any pimples or red spots, which is great!! Many cleansers cause me to get small spots all over my face, so I’m always really happy when I find one that works.

The Verdict: I really love this. It has quickly become a favorite of mine! I wish it was more widely available, though.

Have any of you tried this? Did it work for you? Let me know in the comments!!

Pony X Memebox Shine Easy Glam 2 Palette Review and Swatches

Today I’m going to review the Pony X Memebox Shine Easy Glam 2 Palette that I received in the Pony Box and was part of my February favorites.

This eyeshadow has 6 shades of eyeshadow at 1g each, 1 shadow at 2g (Shine Peach), and 1 shadow at 1.8g (Glam Bronze). It also comes with a double sided brush with bristles at one end and a small sponge at the other. It can be purchased for $22 at here.

There are 4 shine shades (glitters) and 4 glam shades (shimmers). The shine shades have small microglitters and although they aren’t powdery, there is some fallout because of the glitter. The glam shades have a really nice smooth texture and I didn’t notice any fallout with them. Some shades (Shine Peach, Shine Dew, Shine Beige) are really sheer, and the rest of the shades aren’t super pigmented (like say, Urban Decay’s shadows are), but I feel like that makes them really easy to work with when you’re a beginner at applying eye shadow.

The brush that comes with this palette is also really nice! The bristle end is great for all over the lid and the sponge end is great for lining the lashline or placing shadow under the eyes. I use the sponge to put the lighter colors in my inner corners as a highlight as well.

On to the swatches!

From left to right: Shine Peach, Glam Violet, Shine Rose, Shine Beige

From left to right: Shine Dew, Glam Mocha, Glam Choco, Glam Bronze

Sorry if some of the shades are difficult to see! They  are sheer and blend in with my skin really well. The lighting was giving me trouble too.

I would say my favorite shade is Glam Bronze. It’s just a really great everyday shade as it adds definition and isn’t too dark for daytime. I’m really glad that it’s one of the bigger sized pans!

One of the downsides of this palette is how glittery it is. If you don’t like glitter, I don’t recommend picking it up.

The Verdict: I am so glad I picked this up! I’ve really been enjoying using this and I think it’s perfect for spring! I even have made a tutorial using (mostly) this palette because I was so excited! So if you like glitter like me, I really recommend picking this up!

So, have you guys tried this palette? Are you interested in trying it out? Let me know in the comments!

Shara Shara Lemon Honey All-In-One Cream Review

Hello everyone!

Today I’m going to review the Shara Shara Lemon Honey All-In-One Cream from the Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize! Memebox.

This lotion is 200 mL and worth $13 (according to Memebox). However, it is not available on the Memebox website currently, but can be purchased for $7.16 (plus shipping) at

Memebox describes this as having a silky smooth texture, and believe me, it does! The texture of this feels so amazingly smooth and sinks in rapidly without feeling greasy on the skin. It also is very hydrating, even though it’s not a thick, heavy cream. I had some problems with super itchy skin on my legs and this lotion really helped! I find that I don’t sit there scratching my legs to oblivion a lot less often than I had been before, which is great!

This lotion is lemon honey scented, but to be completely honest, it smells exactly like lemon scented Pledge! I actually really like it though, since it’s a very light and fresh scent. I really wanna see what the other versions of this lotion smell like now, haha.

Memebox says that this can also be used on your face, but since my skin on my face is pretty sensitive to smell, I haven’t tried it. I think I’ll just stick to using it on my body instead!

The Verdict: I love love love this lotion! I definitely want to purchase this lotion again when I run out of this bottle. I might try a different scent though, since they have a banana honey version as well, and I love banana scented things! The texture is amazing and it’s really affordable, so I recommend trying this out if you need a nice lightweight but moisturizing body lotion!

Have any of you tried this lotion? What about the banana scent? Let me know in the comments!

Pony X Memebox Spring Makeup Tutorial

Hello everybody!

Today I’m going to share a tutorial with you using the Pony X Memebox Shine Easy Glam 2 palette (and some other shadows)! This palette reminds me of spring and so that’s the theme for today!

Onwards with the tutorial!

First, take the peachy glitter shade (Shine Peach) and place it all over the lid as a base.

Next, take the rosy pink shade (Shine Rose) and place it on the inner half of the lid.

After that, take the shimmery brown shade (Glam Mocha) and put it on the outer half of the lid. Take a blending brush and blend out the hard edges.

Then use a matte cream colored shadow (Bare, Stila In The Know palette) as a brow highlight. For the inner corners, use a white shimmer shade, followed by a lavender glitter shade on the lower lashline (Kanebo Kate Tokyo Spotlighting Shadow palette, PU-1). Take a small brush and add some of the same shimmery brown (Glam Mocha) to the out half of the lower lashline.

Curl lashes and apply mascara (Memebox I’m Mascara in #2 Soft Brown) and you’re done!

I love this look for spring! I can’t wait to wear it more often! If you’d like, you could also add some brown eyeliner for more drama.

What do you guys think? Are you in the mood for spring? Let me know in the comments!
