February 2015 Favorites

Hello everyone! Today I’m going to talk to you about my favorite for this past month.

I cannot believe how fast February flew by! School has been super busy for me, so I haven’t gotten around to doing the reviews I have lined up. I’ll try and get some done this weekend though, I promise!

Anyways, on to the favorites!

Beauty Favorites:

First up is the VELLA Fresh Creamy Soap, which came in the Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize! Memebox.

This face wash is so gentle! I have quite sensitive skin and this hasn’t caused me to break out of get any red spots on my face, which is great! It also feels great on the skin and isn’t too drying, so I’ve really been loving it lately! I only use this at night, since I shower in the morning and this style of packaging isn’t really that great for the shower. I’ll have a full review of this product soon!

Next is the e.l.f. Angled Eyeliner Brush. This is part of their studio collection.

I’ve seen this style of brush around a lot but I didn’t understand how it would make lining my eyes easier. It looked like it would just make things more difficult, haha. However, once I tried this, I realized why people us this style of brush so much! It makes using gel liner a breeze! Even cat eyes are easier using this brush. And the brush itself is pretty great quality for the price. I really recommend it!

Another item I’ve been loving is the Pony X Memebox Shine Easy Glam 2 Palette that I got in my Pony Memebox.

I just love the colors in this! They’re so sparkly and pretty and are easy to wear! And the brush included is actually useable, which is a plus! The pink and the purple are really making me excited for spring too! I’ve been using the palette quite a bit this month, and I have a review and an eye makeup tutorial for this coming soon!

My last beauty favorite is the Shara Shara Lemon Honey All-In-One Cream, from the same Memebox as the cleanser.

This smells so good! Light and fresh, haha. It also absorbs really easily into the skin, so I use it almost every day! That’s rare feat for me, since I can get really lazy about putting on body lotion. I really wanna try some of the other scents this comes in, but I’m going to wait until I run out of this first. I will have a full review of this coming soon!

Fashion Favorites:

What I’ve really been loving (besides my favorites¬†from last month– still wearing those a ton!), is this sweatshirt from Forever 21.

(Like my whale blanket?? So cute!)

This sweatshirt is so cute!! I love gray and I love floral print, so this fit right in with all my other clothes, haha. It’s a really nice lightweight material which is great for where I live (we don’t get snow or anything like that during the winter), and it feels really well constructed for how cheap it was ($22.90). If you’re interested, you can still buy it from their website here.

One thing I do want to say though is that the sleeves are a little on the tight side. If you don’t like how that feels, I would suggest going a size up. Otherwise, it’s great! I’ve worn it quite a lot this month!

Non-beauty Extra:

Non-no Magazine! (pictures from my copy of the April 2015 issue)

Non-no is a young women’s fashion magazine published by Shueisha in Japan. I have been reading this magazine since I started college (a long time ago), and I really love it! The always have such fashionable outfits! The style is also really girly, which I enjoy because I don’t see that as much where I live.

I also love the hair and makeup tips/ideas too! It’s just really fun for me to read and gives me a chance to practice my Japanese.

If you have a Japanese bookstore where you can pick one up, I highly recommend it! They’re a lot of fun!

That’s it for my favorites this month! What are some of your favorites? Let me know in the comments!

Skinfood Haul!

Hello everyone!

So yesterday I made my way to one of the few Skinfood stores in my area (it took a long time to get there!) because I was really curious what a stand alone store would have in stock, versus what’s available online. Since I know it’ll be a while before I go visit that store again, I picked up a few things to try!

I got three sheet masks to try out: The green tea one, the broccoli one, ($2 each) which said it was great for sensitive skin, and the Thermal Water gel mask ($2.50)!

I also picked up some new tweezers cause mine were becoming dull ($1.80). They’re made of stainless steel and hopefully will work well!

I bought a shea butter hand lotion ($5) since I recently used up two other hand creams and I always need some, haha.

The last item I got was the Black Bean Eyebrow Pencil in #5 ($5). the shade is called gray-brown in Korean, so hopefully it will work for me! I think it shouldn’t be too dark, haha.

The store employee also gave me a bunch of freebies! They are all sample sized products from the Royal Honey skincare range. It included a sachet of the Royal Honey Hydro Essence, a sachet of the Black Sugar Honey Wash Off Mask, and small bottles of the Royal Honey toner and emulsion! I’m really excited to try these out!

That’s all that I picked up from the Skinfood store! Have you ever been to one of their stores or tried anything from the brand? Is there anything you’s recommend trying? Let me know in the comments!

Urban Decay Naked on the Run Palette Review and Swatches

Today I’m going to talk about Urban Decay’s Naked on the Run palette! I got this for Christmas and I’ve been loving it! It recently made it into my January 2015 favorites and I’m very excited to share it with you today!

This palette has everything you need for a complete makeup look in one place, which makes it great for traveling. It contains six eyeshadows, a blush and a bronzer, a lipgloss, and a travel sized eyeliner and mascara.

From left to right: Bronzer, blush, 50/50 (eyeshadow)

From left to right: Dive, Fix, Resist, Dare, Stun

Lipgloss: Sesso, Eyeliner: Stag

Perversion Mascara

I totally love this palette! The eyeshadows are the same great quality that Urban Decay is known for and so easy to apply. They are super smooth, blendable, and really easy to use. There isn’t any one color thank makes you go, “Hmm, how do I use that?” You can get a whole range of looks from day to night as well! I find myself reaching for this palette all the time!

The blush and the bronzer are extremely pigmented with a finely milled, smooth texture. I don’t usually wear bronzer (I’m a little scared of looking like a clown due to using a heavy hand! Haha), but I do love to wear this blush! It’s a very bright but still wearable shade of pink that I find really brightens up my skin!

The lipgloss is a nice natural my-lips-but-better shade and has a slightly minty scent and taste. I really love it, but some people might not enjoy it. The eyeliner is a really beautiful brown color with a slight hint of shimmer that looks really great for everyday! It has the same creamy formula as the rest of the 24/7 liners and wears without smudging for most of the day!

What I really have been loving lately is the mascara! It’s extremely black and makes my lashes really full and voluminous! I find that I have been reaching for it most days of the week. It also removes pretty easily with my bi-phase remover, which is a plus.

The Verdict: I love this palette so much! There is a reason it was in my January favorites, haha. If you are new to Urban Decay I would really recommend trying this out because you get a range of their products for a good price. So happy with it!

I got this palette for christmas but it is still available at Sephora, Ulta, and Urban Decay’s website for $54.

Have you tried this palette? Let me know in the comments!!

Memebox Unboxing and First Impressions: Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize!

Hello everyone!

Today I’m going to show you what was inside the Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize! box from This box contains all skincare, so this post will have my first impressions and I’ll post some more in-depth reviews after I’ve had some time to really test them out!

I purchased this box because my skin has been horribly dry and itchy lately and I was hoping that the products I received would help me out.

All of these products are full size as well!

This box includes:

Bory Aqua Calming Cream 70g ($54)

Memebox’s Description:

“This day moisturizer instantly soothes, calms, and hydrates irritated and inflamed skin. Specially formulated to reduce redness and sooth and treat troubled skin, this calming facial cream strengthens the skin’s cell wall with aloe vera extract, chamomile extract, mineral water and propriety Multi EX BSASM and oriental medicines. Use it to hydrate, heal, and support cell regeneration for a beautiful complexion. Non-sticky and lightweight, it is the perfect cream to use as a daily moisturizer.”

Aside from the hilarious mistake in the description (we don’t have cell walls!), I’m looking forward to trying this out! It feels light and cooling to the touch and smells really good!

Bory Q-10 Moisture Eye Serum 30mL ($48)

Memebox’s Description:

“This Hydrating, lifting eye serum is formulated with key ingredients that moisturize, correct, protect, and nourish the delicate eye area while helping you appear more rested and wide-awake. The hyaluronic acid, coenzyme, collagen, panthenol, green tea, and rosemary mix helps with the natural renewal, strength and regeneration of the delicate tissues around the eyes. It instantly improves the appearance of fine lines and puffy skin.”

So far I really like this. The gel like texture feels cooling as I put it under my eyes. Looking forward to testing it more!

VELLA Fresh Creamy Soap 100mL ($24)

Memebox’s Description:

“This whipped cleanser is enriched with concentrated doses of donkey’s milk, 3 types of honey complex, and 4 types of floral extracts to hydrate and sooth the skin. Micro bubbles thoroughly cleanse away impurities, makeup, and excessive sebum while also soothing, protecting and moisturizing the skin. Skin is left feeling moist, supple, and refreshed, never taut or tight.”

I think the packaging for this is adorable! I also love how they give you a spatula to scoop it out. Much more hygienic! So far it’s been really gentle to my skin too!

Shara Shara Lemon Honey All-In-One Cream 200mL ($13)

Memebox’s Description:

“This all-in-one moisturizer is a one stop solution as it addresses both face and body concerns. The lemon and honey formula delivers 24 hours of continuous hydration, eliminates flakiness, and conditions the skin, leaving it silky, supple, and smooth. Plus, the silky smooth texture slides easily onto skin, layering over a veil of lasting moisture, leaving skin hydrated to perfection.”

The texture of this lotion is awesome! It sinks in so well! And I like the smell, haha. It reminds me of lemon Pledge. I haven’t tried it on my face yet though.

echoice Floral & Shea Butter Hand Therapy in Pure Lily 60g ($2)

Memebox’s Description:

“Concentrated with hydrating shea butter, fragrant cherry blossoms, and anti-aging adenosine, this therapeutic hand cream leaves skin and nails feeling soft and nourished. It is delicately perfumed with lovely florals, and the rich texture instantly absorbs into the skin.”

The fragrance of this hand cream is not subtle in the least. It smells pretty, but I’ll have to keep using it more to see if it will give me a headache if I use it all day (I’m pretty sensitive to fragrance and perfumes).

Overall I am really happy with the contets of this box! I’m very excited to work them into my daily routine and see if they help with my super dry skin.

Did anyone else get this box? Are you just as excited to use these products as me? Let me know in the comments!

Ladykin Close Up Decuple Shimmering Primer Review and Swatches

Hello everyone!

Today I’m going to talk to you about the final product from the #73 F/W Natural Makeup Superbox from!

This is shimmering primer is colorless and is supposed to prep and smooth uneven skin before you apply foundation. It leaves the skin feeling supple and healthy without appearing oily and comes in a hard squeeze tube with a metallic pink cap that I really find cute!

I have tried this cream as both a primer under my Leporem bb cream and as a subtle highlighter on top of my makeup. I’m can’t really say if it extends the wear of my bb cream as the wear on it is terrific anyways, but it did give my dry skin a dewy glow from underneath! Some people may not like that finish though, especially people with oily skin, so I really recommend this for those who have drier skin that needs a bit of a boost!

I really enjoyed using it as a highlighter as well! I apply it on the tops of my cheekbones and on my brow bone and it gives a really subtle glow to those areas that I really like!

The Verdict: I really like this! My dry skin really glows and looks less dull when I put this on. However, I don’t usually use a primer everyday because I don’t wear foundation most days, so I don’t know if I will purchase this again when I run out. It will take me quite a while to get to that point, haha.

Has anyone else tried this product? Let me know in the comments!

January 2015 Favorites

Hello everyone!

January has been quite a busy month for me! Because of this, I haven’t been changing up my makeup routine all that much this month, haha. There are a few things that have been my go-to products and today I’m going to share this with you!

The first product is the Urban Decay Naked On the Run palette!

This palette has such beautiful eyeshadows that I find that I’ve been reaching for it almost daily. In particular I’ve been using Dive and Fix (the two left-most shadows) tons! Like the rest of the eyeshadows I own from Urban Decay, these are really high quality and are so easy to wear!

I’ve also really been loving my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette! It’s so easy to travel with and I have taken it with me on every trip I’ve been on since I received it. I use this every single day and it really shows in my picture, haha.

Fashion Favorites:

I have been loving this pair of brown booties my boyfriend got me! The color is beautiful and I always get complements when I wear them! And for being heeled, they are actually quite comfortable. I can wear them all day at school without my feet hurting at all, so I’ve been wearing them quite a bit!

I got this Hollister jacket on clearance last summer and had been eyeing jackets like this for a while now, but I have no idea why I didn’t buy it sooner! I wear this almost every day because it goes with just about everything in my closet. It’s also perfect for layering because it’s lightweight and I can choose to wear a sweater underneath or the jacket on its own.

Non-beauty Extra:

Fantasy Life 3DS

One game I’ve been loving is Fantasy Life for the Nintendo 3DS! This game is so adorable!!! I love cute games, so when I saw pictures of this I knew it was right up my alley. I have been totally obsessed with this game since I got it last Christmas and I really recommend it to any of you that enjoy cute RPG-style games.

That’s it for my January Favorites! What have your favorites been this month? Let me know in the comments!!
